TEL AVIV – The Lebanese Hezbollah terrorist organization lacks missiles to "defend" itself from Israeli aircraft, former President Jimmy Carter claimed upon returning from a trip last week to Lebanon.
"The general showed us a graph of the many flights of Israeli planes over all parts of Lebanon, averaging about a dozen each day. Neither Hezbollah nor the Lebanese Armed Forces have any anti-aircraft weapons for defense," wrote Carter in a first-person report posted on his Carter Center website.
Carter was recounting how upon his trip to the region, Italian General Claudio Graziano, chief of the UNIFIL international forces deployed in southern Lebanon, brought him on a tour of the Israeli-Lebanese border.
"At one site near the border, two different Israeli tanks came about 70 yards from us to observe our group," Carter wrote, before claiming Hezbollah lacks anti-aircraft weapons for "defense" against Israeli over flights.

Church commented at one session that “Gentlemen do not read other gentlemen’s mail.” Interesting how Church and his fellow Dimocraps viewed men who would destroy America “gentlemen.” Glad that a**hole didn’t serve during the run-up to WWII. (Although he may have handled the “delayed” communication to Pearl Harbor that the Japanese were on the way!)
When he became president, Jimmy Carter fully supported and enforced the Church Amendment. The sorts of people who consort with — and, more importantly, get cozy with — the leaders of terrorist organizations are not normally choir boys. Church moved the legislature to PROHIBIT any US funds going to these potential informants. Since it can take upwards of 20 years for these guys to move close enough to the top to be seriously valuable, we had virtually NO humintel on bin Laden’s plans for 9-11!
While there are still Church-like imbeciles (Reid, Pelosi, et come to mind) at the levers of power here, I THINK the law has been changed.

Jimmy allowed the Islamofascists to rise to power because the shah of Iran was "against freedom" or whatever simpleminded explanation Carter used for standing by while the shah's position wobbled. I'm not sure if this link covers it, but basically, the Iranian revolution was in large part started by students wanting liberty, and simply taken over by the clerics who called back their vile brethren who were exiled or took off. They just came back to the country and Iran came under control of the Ayatollah.
