Protest in your living room. There’s going to be upwards of 5 million lunatic lefties in and around DC for the inauguration. Those people aren’t as nice as we are and they’re not tolerant of dissenting views.
I’ll be protesting in my den, one shot of whiskey at a time.
I was going to drive up from Georgia, but I am thinking that it might be BETTER to do something AFTER the inauguration and fill any free time right NOW writing our Senators and Representatives and asking them to vote NO on any proposed bills that Barry O’ wants to sign on 1/20/09 giving him too much power over and without any committee hearings and reports. It’s an end around to change the way the USofA Congress does business and it has NO place in our political system.

SINCE FR has had a good reputation with DC police in the past, if we stage a respectable FReep later in the year, WE will have the attention of the Media . . . because on inauguration day, ALL the Media will be fawning over Barry O’. And I am sure the police will truly appreciate our NOT being in the MOBS on inauguration day.

I don’t this any public display would be in good taste for that one day. Just take the day off and go skiing or swimming or to a movie.
Remember all good news will start on that day from the MSM on how O saved the country 2009 will be a wonderful year.

I think a recent letter from Operation Rescue mentioned that they plan to attend with their Truth Trucks. Lots of luck to them; I expect they'll be prevented from getting anywhere near, which is probably just as well.

Well, I’m just giving you the practical reality of the situation. It’s hard enough navigating through DC on a normal day without 10,000 charter buses and 4 million libs jamming up the various one-way, barricaded streets. Go and protest if you want, and if you can even get into the city, but I’m going to just stay home and enjoy the family that dya and ignore it all.

When I went to Bush’s 2005 Inauguration the Left was there en masse. They had to have a separate area for them along the parade route.
They went there despite the incredibly tight security, the crowds, the inconvenience etc.They expressed their displeasure of Bush. They were mentioned by the media.
Freepers have “freeped” other events - where there was less chance of media reporting because of the insignificance of the event. Some of the posts here say it is better to wait until after the inauguration to stage a protest.
That is like a company saying it is better to advertise our product after the Super Bowl because we will be the only company advertising on TV.
This is the kind of thinking that made GM, Ford, and Chrysler what they are today.

The best thing to do is find an area along the train route that is way north of Baltimore but still in Maryland. It is a pretty conservative area and a large crowd with anti-Obama signs would get great coverage as it will be like the OJ chase as Obama takes the train to DC-all the choppers will be filming from above for the “messiah’s” arrival.

The police are going to be maxed out that day. They don’t need to be watchful for Freeper safety. And I think the DC Freepers respect them too much to give them extra work. Let the masses do their own thing and not give them a chance to go above and beyond. They are going to feel empowered that day.

What did the lefties protest?
The war in Iraq, Bush’s opposition to abortion and gay marriage, favoring faithbased institutions, capitalism, and America in general.
I guess Freepers could protest retreat in Iraq, Obama’s favoring abortion and infanticide, favoring gay marriage, socialism, Bill Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, Kenyan birth, gettting a favorable mortgage, his deals with Blagojevich.
I mean it is not like Obama doesn’t give you material.
However, it is not my place to organize a protest or to advise you how to do one. I am merely asking the question if you are so I would report it if you did.
I do not want to make the news. I just want to report it.
