It would seem that Obama has proved all that he is required to prove under the law. There are no state laws requiring the candidate to prove these things which are required under the Constitution. I don’t see a Federal law to that effect either. I only see that the Constitution says that this is how you are to be qualified, but it has left the *enforcement* of those qualifications up to the legislators. The legislators have *no method of enforcement*. Hence, we are in this current position, and Obama does not have to do anything else under the law.
That’s the essence of the problem and why we need to pass state laws to vet these candidates.
At least the people who have been making these buttons and bumper stickers for the last eight years won't go out of business.
Personally I will however continue to express abhorrence of what Rush acknowledged (more or less) the other day when he talked about the Washington of both parties which IMO sees itself as the United States of America.
The rest of us matter on 15 April, every other year on the first Tuesday in November, and when a military is required -- as long as we remain docile that is virtually our lot in Washington's United States of America.

Prosecutors and the FBI have all the resources that they want, at their disposal to find out anything like this. The Bush Administration has say-so over the Justice Department, and *since* Bush is sworn to uphold the Constitution, he would have already found out if the Constitution was being violated. He could easily direct the Justice Department to do whatever investigation that they needed to see if a crime is being committed. Since the Justice Department has not announced an indictment, you can be assured that there is no crime to be prosecuted.

But as a side comment, I have seen FReepers indicate that several hundred thousand dollar and up to a million or more has been spent — but — I have found *not one source* that verifies that. It appears to be the “hyperbole” of FReepers and other “Obama-birthers” who make up that figure.
Now, it’s clear that there was a response to Berg’s complaint, but Berg put Obama in there, along with the DNC — so they had to respond. But, as I see it, they tend to stay out of as many court cases as possible.
So, where is the documentation that shows this figure. I have looked for it and I sure can’t find it. So, I think it’s unreliable and a made-up figure.

It’s hard to find ironclad proof when 0bama and his team have scrubbed every record of his life from the entire planet, practically speaking. And refuses to provide his long form (aka “real”) birth certificate. McCain, as miserable a candidate as he was, at least showed his.

There’s nothing to be concerned about as it has been shown that Obama qualifies under the Constitution. And, on the flip side of that, no one has shown any proof that Obama is not qualified.
If someone wants further proof than has already been given, then they wlll have to enact legislation in order to require further levels of proof than what has already been given. That would be why (if someone is “concerned” as you say) that they would work with their state to get that legislation in place before the next election.

AFAIK, Obama has not done anything to keep his Hawaii birth certificate sealed. Hawaii law generally forbids the state government from releasing any such records except to the person listed on the records. The Governor of Hawaii is a Republican- why would she be part of some conspiracy to get Obama into the White House?

actually, the analysis of the ‘birth certificate’ was mathematical and showed how the anti-aliasing didn’t fit properly with the background. opinion does not enter into it.
and yes, it is extremely easy to create such a document, especially when you black out any numbers that may help locate the original request.
if you’d like, i could make you a BC from hawai’i that would make you 0bama’s brother/sister... born within 2 years of him. it’d take about 5-10 minutes.
