From a political angle it’s true that it’s a loosing case. The vast majority of Americans use the pill and would destroy any party that would propose stopping iteven if it was universally understood that it can cause abortion.
And that’s the bleak truth.
The ridiculousness comes in because there was nothing in my post that your post had any resemblance to. What you posted was knee jerk nonsense.
Oh, more than a few, I’m sure. Most doctors will talk around the question with sweeping generalities. Some simply lie and state things like oral contraceptives are 100% effective and under no circumstances are abortive. It’s rather difficult to find pro-life OB/GYns, it would seem, and that’s sad.
That’s what the real separation of church and state is about.

At least, everyone who purchases such contraception should also receive the information that it does indeed induce abortion. In letters the size of which is readable. The doc who prescribes it should also tell the patient.
Where do you pour the cold glass of water, for best results?
THAT is an excellent point. You’re right.
My personal views would be considered “extreme” so I’m not even stating them here! But at the very least, FULL DISCLOSURE of the possibility of abortion, as WELL AS the damage to the woman that is possible. BC pills are actually dangerous and very unnatural to the system. They are not benign. Messing with Mother Nature is never a good idea, it ALWAYS backfires.
Sorry for the caps - so much is happening and the nightmare of 0bama marches on...
No, your religious beliefs should not be found on product warning labels.
Women who use them have a right to know that to work they cause abortions, and can be very damaging to themselves as well.
Yes, 0bama is a nightmare and will prove so in the next four years. But will enough of the populace understand it?
At any rate, I am trying to enjoy what little time there is left before he takes office... Like many here, I don't know how I will abide the next four to eight years.
The fact that contraceptive pills can cause abortions and can cause damage to the woman are not religious tenets. What are you, an idiot?
The fact that millions of women safely use birth control of many types appears to be more than you can handle. Again, let me make it clear, if you’re a practicing Catholic don’t use it. If you’re a practicing Catholic (or other) and want to force women to follow the teachings of your church by changing laws - go away. You want the liberals to run this country for the next 1000 years? Then you just keep that anti-contraception crap up. You are scaring away many people who would otherwise find common cause with us on many other issues.
Not everyone happens to think that there is a soul, and not everyone thinks that an embryo has one. The common law of England recognized that until quickening (typically about week 20) abortion was at worst a misdemeanor. That is America’s legal heritage. Deal with it, like it or not. That history means that contraceptive pills are NEVER going to be illegal here. If you want other go to Italy (oops, abortion and contraception are legal there), or Spain (hey abortion and contraception are legal there too).
Let’s be clear as to who you are aligning yourself with. In October 2006, President Ahmadinejad of IRAN called for a scrapping of Iran’s existing birth control policies and for a baby boom to almost double the countrys population to 120 million. Go figure.
Really a contortionist to somehow make me “aligned” with Ahmedinejad! Sheesh! You’re also pushing a strawman argument. I didn’t say that contraception should be illegal. I said that full disclosure information should be given by the doc and in the box.
I don’t understand your ire, other than that you can’t tolerate viewpoints that differ from yours. I’d say that’s closer to Ahmademonjob than myself. He’s the one that can’t tolerate any dissension!
Another side effect of the pill is the lack of sex drive in the woman. The pill can really take the joy out of sex for a woman. Who wants that? All natural is the way to go! :0)
The water is not the important part....
It’s the ‘NOTHING ELSE’...that matters...
:0)
LOL!
