MARTHA MACCALLUM, HOST: Well, an aspect of the Blagojevich story that is getting the microscope today is a rather revealing conference call that took place on November the 11, just several days after the election. In it, Blagojevich, the governor of Illinois, said he wanted financial assistance for his family as payback for making somebody the new senator from Illinois.
FOX's Washington deputy managing editor, Bill Sammon, joins me now.
There is a treasure trove of stuff in there, Bill, and a lot of talk about all this today. But, you know, what do you make of this conference call, which was — in the participants were his wife, his top advisors, and then a number of Washington officials yet to be named, but there are folks who were in on this and we don't know who they were yet?

Waiting for the Obama apologists to show up claiming that this discussion is a waste of time and insisting that we need to talk about something else.
Even if Team Obamanaught rejected the offer of a deal for Jarrett, their knowledge that Blago was dealing Obamanaught’s seat for cash obligated them to go to the FBI?
Did Obama’s team inform the FBI that Blago was selling the seat?
If they didn’t inform the FBI that Blago was selling the seat, are they part of the conspiracy? Part of the coverup? Obstructing justice? Failing their responsibilities to the people and the justice system?
You know, it does NOT MATTER if there were countless videos of Obama himself sitting in on meetings discussing bribes, kickbacks, etc. At this point, NOTHING is going to stand between him and the office of POTUS.
NOTHING.
I believe there would be SCREAMS of racism, rioting, etc., no matter what evidence linked him to any dirty dealings.
I have no faith in our system.
This seems like much ado about Rahm and Barry throwing a temper tantrum for not being able to illegally force their favorite choice for Governor. I can’t imagine Fitz doing anything to embarrass Rahm and Barry. Fitz reminds me of Ken Starr. Both of them only seem to get half-the-picture.

If Obama and members of his team knew of Blago’s illegal plans and said nothing to the Federal authorities, I would say they were accessories to a crime.

Well that's the rub isn't it? Because if they didn't go straight to the FBI the only logical conclusion is that they entertained the idea of buying it. Obviously, just because Obama didn't play ball, doesn't necessarily mean that he wouldn't. It could just mean that the price was too high.
Nope, just suggesting that the forum's Obama apologists will. When the newspaper and press release accounts of meetings between Obama and the governor were exposed (before going into the memory hole) they were doing their same song and dance, insisting that the stories weren't true and that they didn't mean anything if they were true.
Obama was a playa. He just wanted to be clear of fingerprints. Hence, the 2 year wait/third party deal talks...

BTW I’m waiting for Mrs. Blank-O to be arrested. Her real estate company was used by Resco (her only client) to sell property to the Obama’s and other who wished favors.

Chicago has more incest than the Ozarks. Michele and Mrs. Blago may be related in some very interesting ways as well. Lets not let this chance to expose Obama to slip away.
I have read this on a few threads. Does anyone have a source or link. This is a pretty powerful connection between Obama and Blago and Rezko if true.

In the information concerning the wiretaps in the complaint, it’s clear that Blago was VERY anxious to speak to either Jarrett or the Pres.-Elect Advisor( Emmanuel) in the days between Nov. 10-13 about the creation of a 501(c)(4) with money from Buffet or other rich Obama associates which Blago could run, but there is not information in the complaint that Blago actually did communicate with Jarrett or the Pres.-Elect Advisor.
BUT, the wiretaps continued past Nov. 13, but information about wiretaps after Nov. 13 are not included in the complaint. Did Blago communicate, either directly or through an intermediate with Jarrett and/or Emmanuel after Nov. 13?
Obama said yesterday he is going to find out exactly what communications staff members had with Blago and report the information publicly in a week. They’re going to have to tell everything or tell nothing because they don’t know what might be on those wiretaps after Nov. 13.

No. They will walk away fresh as a daisy legally. Unless Blagojevich (who will not be so lucky) starts to sing and dance for the FBI about what he knows. Then he may very well be able to put quite a few of Obama’s people in hot water in exchange for his skin.

Chicago blogs are chirping away about Tony Rezko’s meetings with the federal prosecutor. Tony is singing like a songbird. You’d think that the electronic media would be more interested in what Tony might be saying than in how much it cost Sarah Palin to fly her children to state events, something every other Alaskan governor seems to have done.
Tony, you will remember, was Barack Obama’s financial mentor, the guy who subsidized the purchase of Obama’s Hyde Park mansion, and the guy who created the “pay for play” hospital construction scheme that was the end result of legislation Obama sponsored in the Illinois legislature.
Tony was overdrawn $450,000 at a Chicago bank with alleged ties to organized crime. You’d think CNN might send Anderson Cooper to Chicago to investigate why the bank doesn’t have the same kind of check verification technology you encounter at your local supermarket.
And here is another hint for Anderson’s story: What Illinois senator, currently seeking higher office, kept his senatorial campaign funds there and why? Rest assured, it wasn’t because he enjoyed the rush-hour commute across town from his Hyde Park mansion to make deposits.
Chicago blogs are chirping away...Where is the rest of the media? Even Chicago newspapers are getting amnesia over Rezko. Two weeks ago the Chicago Tribune, the paper that broke the still-unexplained real estate deal between convicted felon Tony Rezko and Obama, did not even mention Obama’s jailbird buddy as it endorsed The One for president.
The bank Miller mentioned is Broadway Bank, owned by the family of Illinois State Treausurer Alexi Giannoulias, whom Obama endorsed over the party slated candidate two years ago. Let me make this clear—there is no way “The Boy Banker” would’ve won the primary had it not been for Obama’s endorsement. No way. Obama also appeared in a television commercial touting Alexi. After Alexi’s win, it was revealed that he approved two multi-million dollar loans to mobster Michael “Jaws” Giorango.

Sorry, but your wonderful "faux conservative" approach hasn't been doing much to stop the Dems, has it?
Now that GOP is down to only 27% of registered voters, and the "Dems" and "Leaning Dem" add up to more than 51% (without considering the neutral Independents), may we please take a more successful approach instead of just running our country into the ground and giving more and more power to the government and the Left?

We have a legitimate shot now in 2010 by running once again as the reform party. Let’s not squander opportunities AGAIN. The whole point of winning elections is to make the changes that we need.
I have not encouraged folks to make much out of the Birth Certificate stuff. You probably see me as an "Obama Apologist" because of my opinion of the CoLB Truthers. These are completely different situations/scandals. One situation is an ongoing situation with many high ranking Democrat officials participants. The other situation may have happened almost half a century ago so the average person who does not obsess about politics will not care about the CoLB aka Constitutional Crisis. Yes it is an important thing, but most people think if John McCain and most of the people involved in his campaign did not think it was worthy of mention during the campaign then the overwhelming number of our fellow citizens will think this is only the mean old racist Republicans trying to steal another election.
This is something people are very concerned about. A recent survay conducted by Zogy for UCSB demonstrated clearly that the number one thing voters cared about was honesty. Obama is percieved as a nicer, more honest fresh young face. I am not hoping Obama is indicted. That would seem like another Republican Dirty trick. I want most of the people who voted for him to see him as he really is, just another lying politician out to feather his own nest. I want the conservatives to win as big as they did in 1994. I want Barack Obama to have trouble enacting any legislation because the entire nation is disgusted by him. I want to retake the House and Senate in 2010 and I want to do it because the GOP is offering ideas that will work and make sense and reward good behavior. Then I want to unify behind a strong candidate in 2012 who will win in a landslide bigger than when Reagan beat Carter.
The Liberal wing of the Republican Party is grateful for your unconditional support.
So let's not see if his actual birth certificate exposes him as a liar?
