ARLINGTON, Va. - Private information at bargain prices. It was a high-tech flub at the McCain-Palin campaign headquarters in Arlington when a MyFoxDC investigative reporter bought a Blackberry device containing confidential campaign information.

One of the names on the list is a Democrat lawyer friend. I was glad to see it, but only because I always suspected he would vote his character and not his party affiliation.
When I am elected POTUS, he will be my appointment for Attorney General.

Oh, and it wasn’t the McCain group exactly. It was from a group called something like “Democrats for McCain”.

I’m not that young, and the original poster was correct.
Besides Palin, McCain did almost nothing right.

These open primaries have got to stop My idea is to disconnect from the Democrat primaries completely, have them on our own dates and schedule.
Only registered Republicans get to vote and the order is determined by the outcome of the last election.
For example, if your state went 70/30 Repubs over Dems you hold your primary before the state that went 69/31, etc. That way the most conservative states get to give the most conservative candidates a head start on delegate count.

True. Dole-Kemp was lamer still. But I will go to the mat arguing that Dole performed better in his debates than McCain did.
To: rabscuttle385
But most of the numbers were private cell phones for campaign leaders, politicians, lobbyists and journalists. We called some of the numbers.
"Somebody made a mistake," one owner told us. "People's numbers and addresses were supposed to be erased."
"They should have wiped that stuff out," another said. But he added, "Given the way the campaign was run, this is not a surprise."
We called the McCain-Palin campaign, who says, "it was an unfortunate staff error and procedures are being put in place to ensure all information is secure."
And I say again, what manner of fools were associated with this campaign? I hope that no real Pubbies ever hire any of these clowns again.

How can people defend McCain after everything we've seen so far? Then again, how can people be bi-polar and schizophrenic? :-) It's OVER. People should focus on more important matters, such as the nation sliding from recession into depression, and doing things that will actually make it easier to survive, rather than arguing the merits of leftists masquerading as Republican/Conservatives. Our nation is being, and will continue to be systematically disassembled, and the majority will stand and watch and weep and wonder who will stop it. Nobody will stop it and I'll tell you why. Those who could are going to group together in the interest of surviving what's coming. People should leave them alone and avoid them at (almost) all cost. They're in a deadly mood NOW and I personally consider them to be dangerous.
The rest simply have no intestinal fortitude. They're willing slaves and "whores" to the American way of debt and instant gratification. They're one or two paychecks away from financial disaster. They not only have this to worry about, but they'll wring their hands and worry about their 401k plans, affordable health insurance, and global warming. They shouldn't worry. :-) The coming administration will "share" their 401ks with the needy, affordable health care will never happen. Ask anybody associated with the phama-tech industry. It's very powerful and very profit focused. They're not going to let the government or anybody else interfere in a way that cuts profit! But that will be a moot point here soon when we have no stable currency in circulation. As for global warming, it's a form of "worship" and will bring even more judgment on the nation.
Sorry for the gloom and doom buddy. But from what I can see the shift to leftism with this current round of elections was just the start. As for people who want to keep espousing the merits of John McCain, let em rant. It could be the only form of escapism they really have from the terrible truth at the moment and for the foreseeable future.

Incompetence that keeps on giving.
It's so pathetic that this is what the GOP has come down to. I would like to think that a blowout loss would cause all of these idiots to disappear into the woodwork and that we get new people running things the next time around, but that won't happen. To think these people could have been handling classified information at one point had we won. You'd think they were Democrats and not Republicans the way they handled this stuff...

I would not defend McCain/Palin, but I would prefer them over Obama. The fact that it came down to Obama/Biden versus McCain/Palin speaks volumes. As a nation, we are on the decline. If we don't put real Conservatives on the ticket in 2012, instead of people like McCain/Palin, and get real Conservatives running the GOP, we will be finished - the next few elections are crucial to our survival. At my age, I won't live to see a lot of the results, but they are easy to guess.

I agree with everything you've said. I supported Palin. Supporting McCain was an unavoidable consequence. But everything you've said is predictable and observable and is happening NOW unfortunately.
