-ATLANTA-
Should someone call you this month asking your plans for evacuation on a gargantuan scale, don't fret - it's not an end-times conspiracy theorist. It's just the Atlanta Regional Commission.
Starting this week, 10,000 random phone calls from the ARC will blanket the metro area, including Gwinnett, in an attempt to gather data on how residents might best be evacuated, if the need should ever arise.
The 13-questions query residents as to where they get emergency information, their transportation preferences, as well as plans for household pets in an evacuation situation, among other questions.
The random calls started this month and will continue through next week. Residents can cut out the middle man and complete the survey online at:

Why is Atlanta worried about this? Is the ghost of General Sherman stalking the land?
Just announce that Walmart is having a great sale on TV’s and video games at some location out of town where you want all of them to end up.
We were warned about this. There were a couple of excellect publications by some woman from California in the 70's I think. I used to have them, but lent one out and don't think it was returned. The title was something about "Metro..." (I think it had a number in it.) Or "Blame it on Metro...." or something. It warned about things like Mayors being replaced with City Managers and why it was bad. And COGS (Councils of Government) And how regional government would try to impose taxes for things like cultural institutions, etc. Sure enough, they are trying to do that now where I live. Basically, she warned about the rise of regional government and how it was an interim step to world government. She may have been affiliated with a man who wrote "The Turning of the Tides" a publication that goes back to the 50's and 60's by a Paul W. Shafer. Very relevant to today. I'm just skimming through it now and realize how profetic it was for the 50's/early 60's.
Does this author sound familiar to anyone out there?
I went to the survey and managed to let them know that if/when
the “S-hits-the-F” I will not be needing their assistance and that
whichever direction they directed the unwashed masses to flee
I would probably be headed the opposite way.
This is one of the reasons your regional government wants these kinds of stats on the residents:

Intersting that of all the things they could/should be worried about
one of their main concerns is “what am I going to do with the family dog”.
ROFL....Now, THAT would work!!!
Throw in free cervesa and diapers to make sure everbody comes.
I’m surprised the survey didn’t ask for the number and type of guns in the home.
