Great news, glad to hear it.
So now the Democrats are stuck at 58 senators, and need 60 to have the filibuster proof Senate. So now in Minnesota, will they back off Al Franken wanting to go to court and all that to continue the endless recount there? You figure even if Franken prevailed, then the Dems. will have only 59. Just a thought as to how far the Dems. will try to go.

I don’t know...but 58 is scary enough. 59...is one too many...especially with Al.

If these numbers hold up, then this run-off will be such an @ss-whipping that I can’t imagine why Chambliss didn’t get 50% the first time around.

One of the people counted among the Democrats is Joe Lieberman, who is an independent, especially on the war on terror and foreign affairs and Israel. So, there will be times when the Democrats will not be able to count on 58 voters in block a filibuster.

Once you factor in Specter, the 2 from Maine, and a few others, we don’t really have a solid 40 anyway. I can’t see McConnell maintaining too many filibusters even with Norm and Saxby back in the fold.

Sax is CRUSHING Martin by 20%! Palin stumped for Sax, and Obama ran ads for Martin. Preview of 2012? If so, Sarah 1, Obama 0.

Yep. Only 88 of DeKalb's 195 precincts have reported. And those that have reported are going greater than 2-1 for Martin.

Dang, if that ole Sarah Palin had not campaigned for him, he would have had it won by 2 p.m. this afternoon. As is, he had to wait all this time. I think this resounding victory sends a message to the Marxists that a lot of people are very upset with this election!! And we are not going to be run over and take it sitting down by allowing them to strip our rights, liberty and property from us WITHOUT A FIGHT!

Good point about RINO type Republicans out there.
Because of RINOs, and shifting alliances with different issues, maybe the Dems. and Al Franken will go for the full court press to steal the election in Minnesota.

If these numbers hold up, then this run-off will be such an @ss-whipping that I cant imagine why Chambliss didnt get 50% the first time around. Lines today and during early voting last week were very "white." It appears that Barry voters did not come back out for Jim Martin.

Franken’s toast in Minnesota, Chambliss takes Georgia, Hillary’s out of the Senate (whatever her effective date is), Obama’s out of the Senate, and there’s a fair likelihood that a couple more Demwits will be out by the end of the year, don’t wanna mention any names though, because I’ve got too much class. Looks like a great lead (enough to counter the Democrat ACORN votes they find stashed away in the elections hall janitors closet).

Something very satisfying here, seeing the dims routed when our backs were to the wall. And — I’m also glad to see Sarah’s backing contribute to the win.

"Any large cities still to report?"
Still a lot of votes out in Fulton and Dekalb counties, but I think Saxby has a strong enough lead to cover, as all of the votes are not in from Cobb and Gwinnett counties.
GA SOS site has 81% of precincts reporting/
I predict the final numbers to be 56% to 44%.
