I don’t understand why these schools still get ANY federal money. It should be denied to any school that bans ROTC.

Absolutely, this is a non-question in my opinion. Any school that refuses to allow an ROTC unit to form ought to be closed.
My oldest son is in HS and is in AFJROTC. He has already declared (as a sophomore) his intent to stick with ROTC through college, serve his 4 to 6 years in the Air Force, and then move into the aerospace industry. Given his drive, and better than 4.0 GPA (taking AP classes), I think he'll do it.
Note, AFJROTC was his idea, (I didn't even know his HS had the program until he brought it up) he loves it, and I couldn't be more proud of him.

What you said.
Private schools should have this decision at their discretion.

Many private schools get federal funds.
In fact, I would be amazed if any don’t. Federal scholarships make up a lot of the tuition payments for many of the students.

All schools that receive taxpayer funds should be required to permit them.

Any school receiving federal funds, directly or indirectly, should be REQUIRED to have ROTC availabe to students. Only exception, religious schools with pacifist theology.
Hey, if the NOW Cows and their herd can use Federal funding for their Title IX crap, the government should be able to use the same tool for something important.

...I’m surprised that it is controversial at a private school. I would expect most people outside of San Francisco wouldn’t have a problem with it.

Most of the Ivy League has banned it since the 1960’s.

Any school that is defended by the United States military, with the above religious exemption, should be required to allow ROTC.

LOL, I was reading Parade Magazine in the paper where I work and after reading the article, I noticed the online poll address listed at the end of the piece.
