“Dictators come to power in times of extreme economic crises.”

Yep. Look for an “emergency powers act” pitched to save us from the total collapse.

The economy won't even have to turn around. The MSM will scream “9.5% unemployment by 2010” throughout 2009, and if it doesn't happen, “Obama saved the economy”.

. . . all of this doom and gloom build up is to make Obama look like a hero if and when things turn around?

Obama may be an old man before this turns around. Usually, we used to have "V"-shaped recoveries as the economy automatcally reset it self. Now I think it will be more like an "L". We are going through a watershed in history and things will never get back to the same as it was earlier. Lots of damage has been, and will be done, and with the current mentality of both political parties, it will be a very long recovery.

I’m thinking a real attempt to prosecute the Bush administration by the Obama administration is the acid test of whether this kind of speculation is tin-foil-hattery, or legitimate speculation.

Anybody who believes that Islamic Terrorists will sit by idle at a time when the entire Western World is in it’s most vulnerable position since it’s establishment, is incredibly naive that Obama will turn this around with International pacifism.

This is the best opportunity that Islamofascism has ever had to strike a death blow to Capitalism and the “Great Satan”. Expect a nuke to hit somewhere, most likely Israel.

Let's suppose for a minute that that works. The writing is on the wall, and any resurgence would be a good time to get ready for hard times, if you have not already.

“He “made nice” with the Dems too often.”

Well its tough dealing with Rabid Traitors such as the Rahm Emanuel/Pelosi/Reid (”Fuck Republicans”) Democrats and their Propaganda Ministry, aka ABCNBCCBSNPRPBSCNNMSNBCNTYWaPoTribuneLATetc. Just saying.

I don't know...Red Badger has some “Captain Obvious” type of graphs that indicate to me that “The Market” has Zero confidence in Zero.

The market is about 46% down for the year and 20% in the last two weeks. Lucky for 0bama, he has the Propaganda Ministry (aka ABCNBCCBSCNNMSNBCPBSNPRNYTWaPoTribuneLaTetc) supporting him. That of course does not mean the world is not facing a financial crises of a historical magnitude. It is. It is also a fact that the United States has chosen the most inexperienced leader in all areas in its history and that is being recognized by the Market.

Capital is fleeing the stock market BECAUSE of Obama.

I don't think that's entirely true.

Because of the CRA, banks lent hundreds of billions of dollars to homebuyers who had no chance whatsoever of paying it back, into a housing bubble that's collapsing.

The market's been collapsing since before Obama was even a serious contender.

Not that The Messiah won't make it worse.

The market's been collapsing since before Obama was even a serious contender.

You are correct, the peak was October 2007, but the latest rally ended after Nov 4.

I guess my point is, Obama isn't helping things with his tax-tax-tax talk, anti-free-market socialist mindset, and his suicidal energy policy ideas. I don't see his ideas changing, and I don't see the market changing it's general direction for more than isolated small rallies. When the market bottoms, I think we will be there for a long time.

Regarding the CRA lending dragging things down, you are again correct. But I don't give Obama a pass on this because it was RAT policies that caused these problems and Obama was a party to the lending institution shakedown as a "Community Organizer".

I bought one for my mother.

No coupon.

Paid cash.

I seldom shop that store.

If they do, somehow, know who I am, they still don’t know where their little box is going (200+miles away).

Didn’t do it on purpose...just worked out that way.

And I walked out right past the tinfoil aisle. Don’t need any, thanks.

Yeah, that’s the dude. At the time, the FBC anchor said ‘if this guy wasn’t right ALL THE TIME, we’d dismiss him as a kook.’ So we’ll see if he’s wrong or right this time.
