Democratic Congresswoman Barbara Lee of Oakland has been selected to chair the Congressional Black Caucus.
The caucus made the announcement at a Capitol Hill press conference Wednesday where Lee accepted the gavel from outgoing Chairwoman Carolyn Kilpatrick.
Lee, just elected to her 7th term, said she looked forward to working with President-elect Barack Obama in advancing goals of justice and equality.

Who is the head of the Congressional White Caucus?
I think it may be time to set one up to show the absurdity of the whole thing.
Isn’t this the one who has voted against funding every single measure of the War on Terror? Including voting against a resolution condemning the perpetrators of the 9-11 atrocity?
Folks, it’s going to be a wild ride in Congress. Let’s hope the various factions in the majority attack each other like mad dogs.
Might even want to bring the popcorn.
“advancing goals of justice and equality”
Golly, they’re gonna’ admit white people . . . hmmmmm? Ya’ mean it’s racially exclusive?
The white caucus? Barney Frank of course — the queen of all the girly-men!
LOL. Okay, got me there.
White members of Congress have never been welcomed into the caucus.
She’s one of the worst leftists in Congress — she probably thinks Ayers and Dohrn are too moderate.
doesn’t this turd have something better to do like hug a tree over at Berkeley &/or eat some granola?
but, but, thats racist! oh...never mind...
Oh, this will be fun.
