Repent, all ye owners of Suburbans, thou drivers of Explorers. Mend thy ways, ye Escalade-loving louts! Take heed of the warning the prophet Mika has vouchsafed unto you: greedy thou art; verily, destroyers of the environment be thee!
Oy. Mika Brzezinski was on quite a roll this morning. On the one hand, free-marketers would find much to agree with in Mika's arguments. As noted here yesterday, whereas Joe Scarborough has been vigorously advocating a federal rescue of Detroit, Brzezinski favors bankruptcy over bailout. But Mika couldn't help muddling her message, delivering a jeremiad against Detroit for producing larger vehicles and Americans for buying them, actually condemning the latter as "greedy."

SUV owners: repent! Ping to Today show list.
Dangerously ditzy, dumb blond.
F-250 and Lincoln Navigator in the driveway Mika. I think now maybe I’ll go trade my daughter’s old Nissan for an Explorer, since you had do disparage average Joes like me by opening your big ugly yap.
I’d like to see her pull a 16’ stock trailer with her d@mn hybrid!
I’m sorry, but Mika is dumb as a box of rocks and downright annoying.
The Suburban is one of the few non-minivan/van options available to large families. When airbags mean no kids in the front, child seats mean no more than two abreast in any row, SUV’s are a practical solution for a large family.
In windy areas, mini-vans make some drivers nervous. We opted for a 14 year old full-size station wagon (Chevy Caprice)as my wife does not like the way a minivan reacts to strong winds. As truly full-size station wagons are no longer made, a full sized SUV would be the next best choice.
I’ll give up my pickup right after Al Gore gives up his corp jets.
Joe is even dumber for supporting the bailout
Could I have carted home the hot-water heater, the bathroom vanity, the tub, or the TV my car? Nope, that’s what my SUV was for. Oh that’s right, we DO for ourselves at our household; we’re not the sort of people who can’t even lift a hammer.
Mika: bite me.
Her father was so detached when he spoke in public, you have to wonder if she grew up overcompensating to get his attention — thus this insistent need to say the first thing that pops into her tiny head.
“...were not the sort of people who cant even lift a hammer.”

Yep.
Like the one-dimensional Ivy League graduates, that elite pundits, both conservative and otherwise, tell us need to be in charge of the country.
I love my SUV and some day I would like to own your Lincoln Navigator.
Yep, how can you tow camper, with room for 6 (car seats too), and the air on, without a full size SUV? I guess I’m greedy.
Joe follows orders in order to keep his job.
Pathetic, isn’t he!
Makes me wanna go out and trade in my Tahoe and buy an H1 Hummer.
I don’t know if this was intentional, or unintended, but...
you combine the requirement for car seats
with CAFE standards that removed the “station wagon” from production
with high fuel costs for “trucklike” SUVs
and you end up with a government mandate for smaller families.
The Chinese want to trade abortions for carbon credits. I heard it’s part of Kyoto.
After an accident I rented a mini van, while my Explorer was getting repaired. Early on I had wanted a Dodge Caravan, so was excited to have it a few days. By the end of the first day I was crying for my Explorer. Hitting the brakes always made me feel like I was about to grind the brakes into the ground (just the sound) and the road noise was ugly. This was a brand new mini van with few miles on it.
105K and avg. of 17mpg.
But going after the RICH to take their money is NOT GREEDY, they are merely SELFISH if they don’t want it taken from them.
See how liberalism works?
Freepers: Obama Media Sycophants “Sluts”
yeah, my wife loves the Navigator. Sits up high (to her), has the GPS built in, but it’s kinda old, year 2000. You could probably pick on up pretty cheap right now.
Mika, can we see a picture of your house? Is it a greedy house that uses a lot of heat and electricity and water? How many square feet is it? What are your heating and electric bills? We have the right to know. Since you don’t like our cars and trucks, we want to make a ruling whether or not we like your house.
But not as dangerous as her father.
5 boys, 1 Suburban. ‘Nuff said.
“But not as dangerous as her father”
Amen! And I bet that the supremely self-assured Zbigniew would do a political 180 degrees if Poland was recaptured by a new Russian empire.
I wonder...if she were to need a ride and two vehicles were to pull up to the curb: a Hyundai, and, me in my Range Rover Sport...do think that she'd hop in the Hyundai? [cue Kevin from "Home Alone'] I don't think so.
Does Mika ride in Lincolns to the airport? You better believe it.
Does Mika condemn celebrities for riding around in their Navigators or Escalades? DEFINATELY not. Does Mika condemn her friends who most certainly drive luxury, or otherwise, SUVs? No way, Jose! Does Mika ever contract out deliveries to her home that require something larger than a Subaru? I guess she never buys anything larger than a bread box.
Oh Mika, you are so brain dead.
Ten bucks says that she'd rethink her mindset if she needed a ride through a very dangerous neighborhood after dark. In a New York second she'd have her ignorant, ugly @ss plopped in the passenger seat of my roll-through-anything Rover, instead of settling for crossing her fingers and hoping for the best in a Prius or some "Smartcar." LOL.
Mika, let's see you try to make me (or SO many Brits,) rethink my Rover by calling me "greedy." Not gonna happen.
Hop in the Hyundai. ;-)
I like Mika’s new haircut. But when she starts her editorial grunts, that’s when it’s too much. And she does it ALL the time.
Frankly, I don’t know how her father put up with her. Maybe he didn’t and this is the result.
But hey, I heard Tiki Barber likes her and would do like an SUV and run over her.
And if you throw in dogs or friends...or hockey equipment....
Does this Mika live on Mars?
And notice when asked what she drives, and she answers "Toyotas," she doesn't offer that most probably she (or her husband,) has a 4Runner, FJ Cruiser, Highlander, Land Cruiser, RAV4 or Sequoia?
I think someone on that show needs to follow up on this, as she VERY abruptly clammed up after she said the brand Toyota. An odd ending to the conversation, I think.
She's doing the "Sarah do," and she knows it.
It seems as though Liberals never have original thoughts.

Nobody buys SUV’s, Mika. That’s why the auto industry is failing. Or don’t you watch the MSM? /sarcasm
