They do have a mental illness. The difference is that if someone wants to self mutilate themselves outside of the context of sex they are restrained and put in an institution.
What ever happened to the idea of do no harm? I mean it doesn’t take a genius to first see the damages that the hormone treatments wreck on the human body lending to a reduced lifespan and the potential for severe liver damage. Also there is the natural recoil that society has to such things. Men can usually detect readily a woman is not a woman.
So a person who may have had some sick fantasy ends up being physically transformed into a sick joke by doctors who I believe are probably mentally deranged themselves and get their kicks playing mad scientist.

I had a supervisor not even a year ago who, when I was introduced to “her”, was in the middle of the process of “gender reassignment.” I'd be right peed off at having to address that as a woman. I am the woman here.

I find that as offensive as a white person in black facepaint claiming to be black, and see no reason why the fairer sex should shut up and take it like a man by allowing a mutilated man in the women's locker room.

I gotcher freak-bashing right here, you deluded, mutilated mental case. Good luck paying a surgeon with his scalpel to excise my contempt, 'cause you haven't made your bones as a woman. Hardly matters how fabulous that surgery is when it doesn't change anyone else, huh?

Whew! Thanks for allowing me to get that out of my system! I don't mind gays, but effiminate men tick me off at a gut level. It's about being fake, I guess. Nor am I religious AT ALL, but biology saw fit to require 2 sexes for most flora & fauna, and that's good enough for me. Two involved parents, a mother and a father, make different yet complementary contributions to child-rearing. That holds from conception on up.
