A Lawless Nation: Government Helps People Break Law

Lou Dobbs Tonight -- CNN -- November 14 "They're using identities of American citizens and the IRS is allowing it to happen."

Casey Wian: More than 1,300 illegal aliens near Greeley, Colorado, have been using either stolen or phony Social Security numbers to receive at least $2.5 million in tax refunds, according to local law enforcement officials. (unbelievalbe video clip)

Chief Jerry Garner, Greeley PD: These folks that are here illegally are victimizing American citizens by stealing their identity. Very, very often they are victimizing American citizens who are Latino. John Cooke, Weld County Sheriff: They're using identities of American citizens and the IRS is allowing it to happen. They know the Social Security numbers are stolen. They don't do anything about it. They don't -- they -- all they care about is getting these people into the tax code system.

Tucker: Those with contracts for less than $100,000 will be exempted from the [e-verify] requirement. It's an exemption that puzzles advocates of

I thought this was all about all the states’ AG’s, state justices and SCOTUS justices refusing to enforce the constitutional law that the POTUS must be a native of the U.S.

Look, our obvious solution to all this is for the American mainstream to engage in similar activity, with attorneys standing at the ready to sue for selective discrimination if/when the government tries to come after the real Americans.

I’ve said it all along- if you’re poor- the only solution is to renounce your US citizenship, move to another country (Mexico) for a year, then sneak back into America illegally, steal someone’s social security, and credit cards, and enjoy blanket protections from the US government and never be prosecuted or deported.

Yet another example of the selective enforcement of laws and the government’s new tendency to come down hard on law-abiding citizens for minor infractions while letting the true criminals skate.

I got a tax filing extension this year and paid the IRS, as required by law, on 4/15. Since I am self-employed, I could not figure my tax to the penny until my return was complete. Therefore, on 10/15 I filed my full return and sent them a check for $555 to cover my extra taxes and penalties.

The IRS cashed the check a month ago but continues to charge me interest on money THAT I HAVE ALREADY PAID. I called them and was told that they will not recalculate the interest and that there is nothing I can do to get my money back. Oh, well, should have told them that I am an illegal alien doing the jobs Americans won’t do. (Notice that we don’t hear that phrase anymore as unemployment rises?)

The law-abiding people of this country must take back their government from the corrupt politicians and bureaucrats, it seems to me.

Fair Tax would end this. One more reason for it.

How about the same percent tax on every income dollar of every person in the US. No exceptions at all. No exclusions at all. No exemptions at all. Equality of taxes for every individual before the law.

Add to this the lawlessness that we have seen in CA in the aftermath of Prop 8 and you really do have to wonder, do Liberals believe in the rule of law? What other laws do they feel they don't need to obey? They don't have to obey immigration laws, election laws, marriage laws, you name it. If it doesn't suit their purposes, they can justify breaking it.

So, what's the point? Why have any laws at all when one major political ideology insists that laws are merely suggestions that can be ignored if, they can rationalize a reason to break it? I mean, I could rationalize that I really need groceries but things are so expensive these days. So, if I deem it necessary to steal food to feed my family, does that make it OK? No. Particularly when alternatives are available.

Given humanity's capacity for rationalizing anything and everything they do, no system of law could be upheld and consequently, no civilization that followed such an ideology could stand for very long. History is littered with civilizations that went down that path. It really is true: Those who are ignorant of the past are doomed to repeat it. But then, those who are selfish enough to elevate their personal wants and desires to the status of "rights" wouldn't care even if they weren't ignorant of the past.

Does anyone here know of a way to find out if your ssn is being used by someone else? I have recently registered on www.creditboards.com which so far I believe is a fantastic place to start rehabbing your credit. So far, I haven’t found the answer to that question yet.

Although I will say this: If anyone here pulls your own credit report, pay particular attention to your personal information in regards to your name, your address, your past addresses and your employer plus your past employer. On mine their is a past employer listed on their that I have no clue as to who they are or how in the heck it got on my credit report. I think it could be a red flag for identity theft. Will be investigating.

I have been self- employed for over 35 years. I always managed to get my return done for the April 15 filing date.
Don’t know what kind of work you do that you need the extra 6 months...
But- are you preparing your taxes on your own with the computer (games) stuff? Or do you have a tax accountant?

If you have a copy of the cancelled check- take it-—not the original, along with a letter from your bank that states what you paid and when. You will have to take this to the local IRS office, IMO, as the telephone twits have no authority.
Do not let them get away with anything.

The income tax is the root of it all.

It is an anti-Constitutional lawless tax that has reduced us to a Nation of gamers/cheaters.

I think you have to go in person to your local Social Security Administration office. You will have to make an appointment and talk to the highest placed person there, if you can.

Take all the records you have, particularly the record of working somewhere you never were at.

Lady in Truckee, Calif got a notice from IRS she owned more taxes for her tax return, and said that she had worked at a McDonald’s in Reno on a W-2.
She was over 40, worked for years for a construction company, and had NEVER EVER worked for any McDonald’s.
She was dogged about pursuing it.

Franchisee of 9 or more McDonald’s in Reno was raided on the afternoon shift. (they are open 24 hours). They found 63 illegals on just the one shift. He claimed innocence, but he got fined $1 million dollars.

Gotta sell alot of Happy Meals to pay $1 million fine.

I would suspect that there are more illegals working there as they only raided one shift.

My hat is off to the lady who squaked and kept squaking until she got some action.

The biggest part of what will be an even bigger mess is that when it your turn to collect Soc Sec, someone else could already have raided your records and it will take months to get your Soc Sec that you earned....
Get busy on this and stay strong on it. Don’t take no for an answer from a small time IRS employee.

Thanks for the information. I used a CPA, so if they don’t fix this right away I’ll have to ask for his advice. I got another notice Friday that they had charged me another 64 cents in interest. So far it is just over $2, and I would like even that back, but they won’t recalculate it. If I owed them $2, they’d charge interest and penalties and inflate it to a significant sum until I paid them. Apparently, they haven’t programmed their computers to do anything but take.

That would work almost as well, but you still have to file and the government is still involved in knowing how much you made and where the money came from, and can raise the rates anytime they want. A fair tax means you only pay a tax when you spend your money so it hits everyone absolutely the same. The only way a fair tax would work, however, is if there is a constitution amendment outlawing the income tax, otherwise it would only be a few years before we would have a sales tax and an income tax.
