I think Bush should go ahead and do a massive withdrawal before his departure—signaling the end of the war. That way after Obama takes office, any resurgence will be on his watch. Also, if our troops came home in December in time for the holidays, victorious, under Bush’s command, it would make Obama look pretty stupid for trying to prosecute his administration for war crimes, like they are threatening to do.
