This is the same so-called Mormon who sells pornography in his hotels. He is an embarrassment.

Bill isn’t going to get the John Hancock award for putting truth over profits, is he?

What does it profit a man, if he gaineth the whole sodomite travel sector, but loses his soul?

..And wouldn’t it be kind of nice to know your hotel was being boycotted by practitioners of anal sex?

Thanks Mr. Marriott. I'll be sure not to darken the doors of a Marriott any time in the future.

"The Bible that I love teaches me about honesty, integrity and unconditional love for all people," Marriott said. "But beyond that, I am very careful about separating my personal faith and beliefs from how we run our business."

IOW, he talks the talk, but doesn't walk the walk.

It is easier for the camel to pass through the eye of the needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.

"The Bible that I love teaches me about honesty, integrity and unconditional love for all people," Marriott said.

Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven; And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground. (Genesis 19:24-25 KJV)

What I like the least about this is that his company was foisted into the middle of this thing...and ONLY because he’s Mormon.

We saw the other deal where a Sacramento theater director felt it necessary to resign under pressure because people “discovered” he donated to Yes on Prop 8.

Bill Marriott’s only “sin” by these witchhunters is that he’s Mormon.

Just by being Mormon he’s been put between a rock and a hard place in a situation he had nothing to do with, and I don’t think that is something to applaud.

Bill Marriott has plenty of money. What he lacks is gumption.

I admire the LDS for taking the position it did. It’s a religion that has strong principles on issues of marriage and family.

Mr. Marriott, however, is running a business ... it’s not an arm of the LDS church. Offhand, I can’t think of a single ‘Christian’ hotel chain. Nor can I think of any other that would refuse to cater to gays or any other group that seeks its services and will pay its rates.

I’d suggest that the LDS has done rather nicely with Marriott family tithing and other support over the years. That is appropriate. But that doesn’t mean that the Marriotts or any other businessmen have to sacrifice or have their businesses sacrificed one way or the other over political differences.

Catering to a gay clientele is part of operating in the hospitality industry. It’s not the focus of Marriott’s marketing. Any hotelier or restaurateur who refused to cater to that or any other group would be shut down for discrimimination. (not that I want to be a guest there while the gay events are going on).

The gay activists have gone beyond the pale in their reaction to the passage of Prop 8, and it is they, not Mr. Marriott, who should be the object of scorn for their behavior.

You know, before the turn of the century, in some localities it wasn’t a crime to kill a Mormon.

I’d be willing to bet that many of these “gay activists” wouldn’t mind bringing back the practice.

I saw a clip of that “protester” slapping a cross out of the hand of that elderly lady. Had I been there, that “protester” would have been searching for his teeth. But then what else would we expect from people who believe in living together in peace and harmony, as long as we bend over and accept their rules silently.

Mark

Actually, the Marriott chain is on a national boycott list by Life Decisions Intl because they've apparently given $ to Planned Parenthood. So not all Mormons are "leading the way" in the recent fight for traditional values.

Willard Marriot, Mitt’s namesake. Mitt was on the Marriot board I believe. No RINOs.

I’m glad Mr. Marriott made me aware of his support for homosexual rights so I can avoid his hotels.

Bill must be a Republican. He has tried to appease everyone, and as a result succeeded only drawing the ire of everyone.

Too bad, cause they did a good job.
