Was it me or did anyone else hear portions of the National Anthem being beeped out, specifically "Land of the beeeep and the home of the beeeep". Someone please verify this as I'm still processing this unpleasant turn of events.

Yes, I heard the same thing, but I wouldn’t make a big deal about it - during the pregame portion of the show ahead of the anthem and kickoff (where a bunch of sports guys sit around a table and bloviate about the game), they had a mixup with the audio where the sound from some kind of sitcom was coming through instead of the sound from the sports guys. So I believe that they were having audio/engineering problems independent of the broadcast of the national anthem...
It was over the last few lines. To be fair, the audio kept cutting out during the whole performance for me. I doubt it is anything nefarious.
A few years ago I was at a Redskins game...amidst the majority black crowd in rather cool weather, it was difficult to spot anyone who’d remove their cap for the National Anthem.
Pastor Manning is correct, in general—”black people hate America.”

The sound system was cutting in and out during a rather awful rendition of the National Anthem. As they were attempting to fix it, the beeps occurred. Nothing sinister, IMHO.

Evidently so. This is going to be a long 4 years.
My DH thought it was a disgraceful performance of our National Anthem anyway, so he welcomed the bleeps. We are the sort that like it sung straight — no personal trills or whatever. Just every note the way it was written. Don’t get that much anymore. {{{{{{sigh}}}}}}

I’ve certainly heard much better renditions.
Were there actual beeps or just parts that went mute? On both digital and HD channels, I watch programs where the sound goes in and out, but no actual beeping as if being censored by the network.

Sometimes the obvious is so obvious you can't even see it.
I spent a couple of summers working on the boardwalk of a resort town in New Jersey, it was in a restaurant that was right in front of the US flagpole. Every morning at 10 and evening at 5 the flag was run up or down and the national anthem was played. I only ever saw two groups of people stop, take off their hats and look at the flag, on both occasions they were black families.
While working in the restaurant a handful of times I saw families pause to say grace before eating their meals. On each occasion the families were black.
On one or two occasions I was harassed by drunken or aggressive jerks who got mouthy or wouldn’t pay their bills. Oddly on all of those occasions the people were white.
We must move in different circles.

It sounded like actual censoring beeps, not a loss of sound.
For a moment I thought, no friggin way.
I mean the rendition was bad enough but to beep out certain words was really weird.

Notice that my observation pertained to mainly general behavior in a large group. Your examples referred to specific instances of comparatively individual behavior.
My racism is reluctant, yet has developed over decades of painful realization (despite years of early PC brainwashing) and sometimes traumatic personal experiences that have indelibly impressed me concerning the general character of races—albeit with the recognition that individuals’ characters often defy norms.
We all know, or should know, that within the context of general group characteristics (stereotypes exist for good reasons) there are exceptions. Many blacks are clearly superior to most whites in character, patriotism, civil conduct and reverence, impulse-control, etc...however taking in aggregate accumulations of data concerning abjectly pandemic crime and depravity, along with my extensive observations and experiences over the years whenever I’ve encountered the conduct of blacks in groups and/or in concentrated populations such as those where I’ve had to work and defend myself, I cannot accept the liberal dogma of general racial equality.
