CANBERRA (Reuters) - An Australian holiday resort will hold a month-long, nude "anything goes" party to combat an expected economic downturn, media reports said on Thursday.
"Tough economic times call for stiff measures," Tony Fox, the owner of the White Cockatoo resort in Mossman, in tropical Queensland state, told the Courier-Mail newspaper. ...
"It will be a hedonism resort, where anything goes for a month. It doesn't take rocket science to work out what it means," Fox said, naming March as the risque party month.

The same thing happened during the coming of the Black Plague in the 14th Century. "If we're all going to lose everything, we might as well have sex and enjoy it" is how it goes...
You can't make up stuff as good as this...
“Tough economic times call for stiff measures”
And I doubt it is a stiff upper lip!
IN THE NAME OF ROME!
Did he say stiff members?
What an incredibly stupid idea.
Look for rape cases few months later.
I would think the men attracted to this will be predatory, the females ugly with severe issues, “professionals,” or all of the above.
Disgusting! Will Caligula be there?
Will the Henry Mancici Orchestra be playing in the nude like they did in A Shot in the Dark?
they better use sunscreen to protect those blue balls! Skin cancer is a serious problem down under.
But, if they do “safe sex” then it’s ok, isn’t it?
No, Caligula is in Hell.
Something about tearing down God’s Temple and trying to erect a statute of himself there.
Sodom and Gommorah
God have mercy on us.
Warning. They should look out for a tsunami. God will not be pleased.
Hmm - hmm --- hmm - hmm
The funny thing is that most of the people that will attend this thing SHOULD keep their clothes on!!
You just have to know that some AIDS infested scumbag will show up and infect them all.
I think even Caligula had more sense than these people.
Someone said that if God spares America he is going to have to apologize to Sodom and Gommorah. Ditto Australia.
What part of totally nude don't you understand?
also gives a new meaning to “being in the bush.” But then again, we have to remember that Aussies use to be England’s twisted citizens that were kicked out of England and sent to Australia for a reason!
# Matthew 11:24 But I tell you that it will be more bearable for Sodom on the day of judgment than for you."
This sounds like a good idea as a “sting” operation to round up the weirdos and perverts, but not such a good idea for a business plan.
And whoever said that was a theological neophyte. God will NEVER have to apologize to anybody.
Yes, the person who said God would have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah undoubtedly had this statement from Jesus in mind, but it is not a comparable statement. In no way did it imply that God is obligated to apologize to Sodom for the judgement He poured out on its wickedness if He chooses to delay His judgement on future generations.
Mrs. L and I spent one of the best weeks of our lives at a resort very similar to the one described here.
And this particular resort (don't click if you even THINK you'll be offended) does it 52 weeks a year.
L
The sounds like Bubba’s dream vacation, or Gurnee circa 1999.
Romans 9
14What then shall we say? Is God unjust? Not at all! 15For he says to Moses,
“I will have mercy on whom I have mercy,
and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.”[f] 16It does not, therefore, depend on man’s desire or effort, but on God’s mercy. 17For the Scripture says to Pharaoh: “I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display my power in you and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.”[g] 18Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden.
AMEN!
Does it mean sadism and death? Whoo-Hoo!!

See the following for information about that quote...
“If God doesn’t soon bring judgment upon America, He’ll have to go back and apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah!”
This statement frequently attributed to Billy Graham, actually originated with his wife, Ruth, during a review of her husband’s manuscript for his book, World Aflame, published in 1965. He had just finished a chapter vividly describing the sinful conditions in America, and gave it to Ruth to read. She was very much sobered by the writing and returned the document to the study where he was writing and laid it on his desk, saying, “Billy, if God doesn’t come soon and bring judgment upon the United States, He’s going to have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah!” The account was recalled briefly as an illustration in a message by Dr. James Kennedy (pastor, Coral Ridge Presbyterian, Fort Lauderdale, Florida), entitled “Prayer and the World Crisis”, at the National Prayer Congress, Dallas, Texas in 1976.

Actually I was the one who rather insensitively called the originator of the quote a theological neophyte. Definitely an overly harsh description.
I had heard the quote attributed to Billy Graham, and had also heard that the attribution to him was incorrect. I didn’t realize it was Ruth that said it. I don’t know how Reverend Graham responded, but I suspect he gently told her that no matter how depraved America or any other nation becomes, God will never have to apologize to anybody regarding whom He shows mercy and on whom He pours out His judgement.
The AP just announced that Bill Clinton would be conducting a good will tour in Australia very soon.
It was perhaps flip if not blasphemous of me to post that remark. It does seem to sum up the situation. You would think that in times like this people would do a little reflection and soul searching and maybe even turn to God. Or at least lead a more sober life. Instead people are ramping up the irresponsible living that got us into this mess.
....on second thought....no. I'm not going to say anything.
And I was unduly harsh on Mrs. Graham. I have heard so many people over the years repeat that remark, and many times have heard it erroneously attributed to Billy Graham which in some peoples' eyes puts it just below the words of Jesus and right alongside the words of Paul in theological authority. The problem is that it is so diametrically opposed to what the Scripture says, but just similar enough to the quote from Matthew, that people latch onto it. It grates on my nerves every time I hear it, but that doesn't excuse the harshness of my response.
Red plague.
to say nothing of a new dark age :)
In Paris, there is Les Chandelles, a famous club where anything goes in the center of Paris. Only hot looking people are allowed in, so if you want to go, you had better have a hot chick by your side.
The club was founded by a woman, a femme fatale, they say.
The only time I look hot is in the middle of August. LOL!
I wonder many days it will take before rape charges are filed there?

Sounds like it will turn inot a broke-outback mountain scenario.
Who’s assigned to bring the sheep?
Yes... and an early female population based on prostitutes and thieves “exported” from London...
