News services in Israel are on fire with talk that Barack Obama has just sent a supporter of the terror group Hamas as his envoy to Syria and Egypt to relay news of his policies to come. Last September Israel's suspicions were heated up about "former" Obama advisor Robert Malley being sent to Syria with a George Soros funded group. It was then claimed by Egyptian sources that Malley was still working as an advance man for Obama which angered Israelis because six months earlier Malley announced that he had held "regular meetings" with Hamas. At that time, Malley's comment caused the Obama camp to hurriedly distance the candidate from any connection with Malley. But, with the election over, it seems that Obama's claims that Malley didn't really work for him are not quite true. It also seems that we already have the very first example of Obama sticking his finger in the eye of our allies in Israel. Naturally, the U.S. press is not reporting this news.
In September of this year, Robert Malley caused consternation among people that stand against the terror group Hamas when he went to Syria to work for a group called the International Crisis Group -- a George Soros funded NGO also chaired by other doyens the far left. Some thought that he was secretly there as an Obama advance man, but there is no real proof that he was there in that capacity at that time so the story died down.
As mentioned, back in May Malley reported that he held "regular meetings" with the Palestinian terror group Hamas causing Israelis quite a lot of heartburn. To appease Israel's supporters in the U.S. at that time, the Obama camp threw Malley under the bus...

Egypt is known as the king of the south and Syria is known as the king of the north in Bible prophecy.
They are long-standing enemies of Israel.
These titles come from 2 of 4 generals of Alexander the Great who split up his kingdom 4 ways after Alexander died around 332-333 B.C.
It's only a mistake if one thinks 0 gives a damn about Israel.
Sorry, Israel — it’s a brave new world. Obama is only interested in making nice with your enemies at your expense. You’re on your own, so get used to it.
“Egypt is known as the king of the south and Syria is known as the king of the north in Bible prophecy.”
King of the East = Iran?
None of the various versions of this story that I’ve read contain any information indicating that Obama has “sent” this guy anywhere for any reason. Just a loud accusation of that, followed by a bunch of vague rambling that doesn’t support the accusation. This sounds like disinformation spread by al Qaeda/Hamas sympathizers more than anything else.
What mistake? The self-anointed One does not err; it is the mere foolishness of lesser beings who fail to comprehend. And bow down.
The best case would be for Israel to be on its own. The worst case would be for Barack to order a pre-emptive strike on Israel to prevent their pre-emptive strike on Iran.
I’m going to sit back and watch this man’s world unfold.
Thank you for your cautious post. You remind me to stifle my knee jerk reactions and be prudent.
Barack Obama's Middle East Expert
Be very careful, Barry. This nation's impeached presidents for far less than treason.
HAMAS: Barack Obama advisors asked HAMAS to keep pre-election meeting secret!
Ptolemy took over Egypt (essentially)
Seleucid took the Syrian area
Cassander took Macedonia
Lysimachus took Asia Minor
Of course there were still many battles after that.
Although Iran was in there, in Bible prophecy they are known as the Persians, and are often mistaken by Americans as Arabs, which they are not.
Iraq includes areas of the Babylonians (south) and some of Assyria in the north.
Ezekiel 38 and 39 very specifically speak of a major battle against Israel in the Latter Days / Latter Years (both terms are used in the KJV).
Two of the alliances are Libya and the Persians (Iran)

Did Obamas team meet with Hamas before the election?
FWIW, Mr. Morrissey, I think a better question would be how many times...
And over on this thread http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2130026/posts (”Hamas: We met Obama advisers”) we have some FReepers insisting we should believe rumors about President-elect Obama that are being spewed by a Hamas leader. No other source. A Hamas leader said it, so we’re supposed to believe it!
Nope. Barack Obama is President-elect of the United States, and if you want me to believe something bad about him, you’d better have a MUCH more credible source than a Hamas leader or “news services” whose reports don’t identify any sources. I voted for McCain, but Obama won, and he’s going to be President of the United States for the next 4 years. This is not a reason to start imagining that terrorists are our friends, helpfully giving us dirt on our President-elect.
Thank you again for your prudent advice.
I will admit to resisting giving Obama support at this time, because I think he is dangerous.
I will, however, try to be exercise good judgment as the example you are showing us.
You’re most welcome (and I certainly hope you aren’t the only FReeper heeding it!). He may be dangerous, but he’s nowhere near as dangerous as millions of American conservatives allowing themselves to be led around by the nose by the likes of Hamas and mysterious unidentified sources. We need to recognize that our distress over the election of Barack Obama makes us an attractive target for well-organized forces seeking to politically destabilize the US.
Interesting insight into the objectives of anti-American forces. I take heed and hope my fellow Freepers do as well.
Keep us smart, will ya?
Those who represent the conservative side of the isle on TV during interviews or as part of a discussion panel need to regularly expose these facts to the public so the mainstream press and Obama supporters KNOW what stupidity and evil they have brought into our leadership.
The idiots might have been chanting “Death to Israel” as they voted IMO.
Among the most retarded thing I've seen in American politics by a supposedly smart people.
did you read this version? http://www.thebulletin.us/site/index.cfm?newsid=20191256&BRD=2737&PAG=461&dept_id=576361&rfi=8
I talked to the paper, and they stand by the story and their source.
Source? What source? The original Middle East Newsline article is only partially available without subscription, but seems to be saying their source was “aides” of Barack Obama’s, while the Bulletin story is explicitly attributing the same info to aides of Malley’s. Neither mentions who these unnamed aides to somebody-or-other were talking to when they made these claims — the Middle East Newsline article carries no byline. The MEN article (published the day after the election) also puts a mighty vague “over the last few weeks” timeline on the reported Malley mission, while the Bulletin story implies that this was a post-election action by Obama as President-elect (headline begins “In First Mideast Policy Initiative . . . “). The Newsbusters article and its linked source, Israel Today, specify that Malley was dispatched on this mission last week, yet Israel Today cites MEN as its source for the story.
Given that President-elect Obama is a current Senator who has been a Presidential candidate for many months, I imagine that quite a few people having some current or past association with him have had occasion to meet with someone of political significance somewhere in the vast Mideast over the “last few weeks”, to gather/collect information and mumble platitudes about lots of things, perhaps including how Senator-hoping-to-be-President Obama respects the someone in question. They may well have been doing this on their own initiative, with an eye to boosting perception of themselves as having “ties” to the likely (now definite) next US President.
It’s a huge leap from the information in these articles, to the assumption that President-elect Obama “dispatched” anyone, much less Malley, on a “first Mideast policy initiative” mission. What the published information reveals is that somebody claiming to be an aide to either Malley or Obama told some unnamed journalist that Malley was sent by Obama sometime to meet with Mubarak and Assad. Who the heck are these loose-lipped aides? And if they really exist, whose aides are they? And what journalist were they yapping to?
Again, Quote: they stand by their story and sources. (The Bulletin)
Weighing this out, I don’t see how this paper would risk its reputation. Unless they were duped, but I think the editor would have checked it out pretty well before publishing.
I agree, having names would give this story much more credibility and longer legs.
I also note that no major news organization has picked up this story, presumably because its key points (fuzzy to begin with, in the apparent only root source, the MEN article) couldn’t be confirmed.
“Obama is already making major mistakes and he isn’t even Prez yet! “
And no one except a handful of us will ever know. The media is NOT going to cross him. He is their candidate.
I appreciate your history lesson. Any other insights on the situation in the Middle East? Where does the U.S. fit into Biblical prophecy? Does it just fade away in importance, do you think?
Just wondering what your thoughts are....
The USA is in no obvious role in End-Times prophecy it appears.
That does not bode well. My guess is the USA is no longer the USA at that time.
There is a theory that it could be one of the three nations apparently subdued by the Worthless Shepherd. There is a bear (Russia), a lion with eagle’s wings (symbol of Great Britain) and a leopard with four heads (suggested to represent our world dominance of the 20th century).
Many have tried to link America to Babylon in Jeremiah 50 and 51. This is clearly in error as the first line shows it to be Chaldean Babylon. That was in Iraq. By no stretch of the imagination can Chaldea be made to be America.
People have also tried to use Mystery Babylon in error. Mystery Babylon is a city and Revelation says it multiple times. It is not a country. It is the religious prostitute burned with fire in Revelation 18. Jesus says “come out of her My people” in 18:4.
I don’t want to see my country fall. But we are 5% of the planet and there are few that love the USA, though a lot like Western culture. And we just elected a pro-gay, pro-baby-terminator, anti-DOMA, divide Israel AND Jerusalem as President. That does not bode well for our nation at all. We’re entering a liberal Christian, virtually post-Christian era if we’re not careful.
I’m rather stunned, frankly ... but maybe I shouldn’t be.
Nonetheless I put a lot of effort to warn people not to elect this zero-experience empty suit we got. It wasn’t enough I suppose.
I thought I recalled the same interpretation about America’s role (or lack thereof) from Bible studies I attended decades ago. When I heard about it at the time, I had a hard time imagining the U.S. without power or influence, and I thought it would be centuries away — not something that would turn in my lifetime.
It boggles my mind that people in our country have elected someone like Obama. It also distresses me that our country has wandered so far away from its origin as a Christian nation, and so many people think having a PC attitude is more important than honoring our past and preserving the Constitution.
Thanks for taking the time to give me your Biblical interpretation.
You’re welcome.
I’m shocked, too. The USA is becoming a nation of lemmings. We’re on our way to become what England has become.
My guess is the USA is no longer the USA at that time. What do you mean "at that time"? It isn't the USA at THIS time!
True my FRiend. And I’m a bit concerned we’re on a very quick road to that. One of reasons I put so much effort into getting info out on this election.
The king of the North in Ezekiel 38,39 may include a confederacy of nations reaching all the way to Russia, Siberia and Germany as they are explicitly referenced in the verses. The north, south and other directsions given may be better interpretted with respect to the Land promised Israel and/or Jerusalem as the Holy City. Since the passages are discussing how God provides for the nation of Israel, His children, and the Land He provides, the recent moves by Russia into Syria were rather astounding.
One recent interpretation I hadn’t previously considered was an association of Obama with Kenya as a king of the south. IMHO, it’s a bit of a stretch, but then again with all of Biblical Prophecy being made known to all, I wouldn’t be surprised if the real AntiChrist didn’t make arrangements to try and conceal his identity.
Meanwhile, I wonder if other world leaders aren’t battling one another to become the AntiChrist.
Yep. Watch the two videos in that post if you haven’t already.
