With barely time to savour his triumph, Barack Obama has been confronted with various international crises to test his mettle.
The U.S. President-elect faces threats from Russia, Israel and Afghanistan as it emerged his election team's computers were hacked by a 'foreign entity' during the election.
Officials at the FBI and the White House believe the hackers sought to gather information on the evolution of both his and Senator John McCain's policy positions with the idea of using that information in negotiations with the next administration.
Obama technical experts later speculated the hackers were Russian or Chinese, and security ended the intrusion, Newsweek reported.

He threatened to base warheads along the Polish border if Obama goes ahead with a Bush administration plan to create a missile shield in Eastern Europe.
Then Israel warned Obama last night that his claim that he was ready to open talks with Iran could be seen in the Middle East as a sign of weakness.
Furthermore, Afghanistan's president Hamid Karzai demanded that Obama 'put an end to civilian casualties' by changing U.S. military tactics to avoid airstrikes in the war on the Taliban.

I don’t see how he will effectively lead this country. I would be willing to bet there will be some world leaders that will be hesitant to share any information with him or the U.S. because of his past and present connections to terrorist. Raila Odinga comes to mind. I don’t see how this is going to happen. Foreign intel agencies won’t want to take a chance to compromise any of their systems..
This whole thing is simply unbelievable.

Can this be done by executive order or does it have to go through congress?

The “world” wanted Obama elected, precisely because they perceive him as weak, someone they can push around.
This is just the beginning.
Weakness is provocative.
Obama will take the US from a superpower to a third world nobody.
What gym does he go to? The “No Sweat, No Fuss, No Muss Girlie Boy Gym”? Does he drink a latte while his assistant runs on the treadmill?

I would say something about their race and how Michelle should be grateful and proud we, the taxpayers, are willing to provide such a service but since race isn't an excuse anymore I'll refrain.

Oh, yes, I'm sure that's why the Chinese or Russians are hacking into White House computers--as if the public policy positions of McCain and Obama are stored on secret computers in the White House instead of being on the home page of every website on the internet. Give me a break.

I could very well be wrong, but I seem to remember seeing a show on TV about the capital building & I thing there was a gym in it. I think it was in the basement or near the cafeteria.
President Obama is a new,inexperienced quarterback who has NEVER thrown a pass or lead a scoring drive who is thrust into a very tight game. Expect the blitz’s to come early and often.........

During the first Gulf War (which I opposed at the time) there were rumors of a return to the draft. My mother was telling everyone that, if the draft were reinstated, she was going to send me to Canada. Whenever she said this I would just grimace and politely/respectfully ignore her comment. Even though I opposed that war, I had absolutely no intention of disgracing myself or turning my back on my country in a time of need.
Things are different now. Until the United States ends the scourge of abortion, turns away from socialism and returns to observation of the natural law, I will not shed one drop of blood for this country. Nor will I permit my son to do so.

I’m sorry. I don’t know the answer to your question.
I have my own question about this, though: If the American people were opposed to such a decision, could they stop a Democratically controlled congress from following Obama’s lead. In other words, (with complete respect intended to you and to your question) what does it matter whether Obama can do this via executive order or whether he must go through the congress?
In some previous thread it was stated to be “Renegade”.
Not swearing to that, though.
while I have no problem with the Confederate battle flag, it is a 'symbol' and a target...
Id much rather see a mass of suppliers and a flying of 13 star 'American Rebel' flags across the country...
