Indiana Presidental Predictions In Doubt

Posted on 11/06/2008 8:38:17 AM PST by protoconservative

Declaring Indiana for obama might be premature per the Indiana Sec of States website.

Indiana might actualy count the vote because there were tens of thousands of provisional ballots due to voter rolls issues. I had the voter card in my hand and wasnt listed.

That’s interesting, thanks for the post. I suspected they needed to recount Indiana it was too close. I was very disappointed McCain didn’t challenge several battleground states due to ACORN, including Indy.

Indiana itself does need recounting due to ACORN in Marion and Lake County in particular — that alone could have tipped IN to Obama.

OK, that makes no sense. How are they calling it for Obama when according to that list, McCain has an 83,000 vote lead two days after the election?

Thank God for small but significant victories. This would chop a little of Obies ‘mandate’ down to size.

Curious? When did you register, and did you vote in the primary or had you ever voted at that particular precinct?

I thought the whole thing was strange because the same old counties that always go blue went blue, the three college counties and the burbs of Chicago. They only gain one or two more blue counties.

Well, if FNC says it, it MUST be true/sarc necessary?

If Indiana is, in face going to be recalled for McCain and he does not investigate vote fraud in OH, VA and NC that would put him over the top, he has not fulfilled his position as president-elect and Governor Palin would now be president-elect.

There's no way McCain could become President by challenging the results in several states, not after Obama surpassed him by several million in the popular vote...but it would be good to challenge the closest races if there are any credible reports of fraud, just to give a signal that they can't get away with everything...or 2012 will be much worse.

That's assuming the Republicans bother to field an opponent in 2012.

This may be an error, or a partial posting of an in-process recount.

The unofficial totals are about 1.3 million votes for Obama and McCain each.

No way that their vote totals would drop by 500,000 each.

Barry won by more than 200,000 real votes in Ohio, before they even got to the provisional ballots (where most fraudulent votes would show up).

No investigation needed - he won Ohio fairly.

That number sounds low overall. I thought more than 2 million votes were cast in IN. Either way if it is back in the GOP column, no matter how narrowly, it would be a bit of a boost. I am pleased to see MO apparently is going for McCain by only a few thousand votes. Not only is it the first time in decades MO has gone against the national winner, but it is a sign that in the #1 bellwether state, 0bama LOSES.

>>Every freaking state in the union needs an “ACORN” investigation.<<

Agreed, but that ain’t gonna happen. Obama is going to make sure that they are shielded. They were the ones who got him elected for gods sake.

He won by 200,000 in Florida, ACORN brought in 500,000 votes there.

What we should do is join ACORN. Work with them then expose them to the media for what they are through first hand testimony to courts, the senate, congress and media.

I also feel they should investigate Philadelphia County for fraud. There are a few other things they should investigate - not that it will change the outcome, but to bring it out in the open.

The college kids voted him in. He only won by about 26,000 votes.

Take a look at these blue counties. Big colleges on almost all of them except Indianapolis and up by Chicago.

I’ve got some serious questions about the votes here in Michigan. Obama won but that’s a given. However Democrats usually only take 9 or 10 big counties. This year it was a majority of counties.

What really raised an eyebrow for me was the medical marijuana issue on the ballot. (I’M NOT LOOKING FOR AN ARGUMENT ABOUT LEGALIZATION) Marijuana has made it to our ballots many times over the years and has repeatedly failed. This year it suddenly passes in all 83 counties by a nearly 2 to 1 margin. I can see it eventually winning by gaining momentum over the years, but 83 counties all at the same time?

I saw that, too. I thought about calling the SOS's number because not everything is listed as counted. Here are the election results from the SOS of Indiana website for the whole state if anyone wants to check it out. Theree are a lot of counties that don't show up as counted.

I don't know why it's not up-to-date yet.

Seems to me that Indiana isn't keeping their board up to date. The only thing that is changing is the time stamp.  It seems to me that if Indiana had a problem with a million votes it would be news.  Yeah I know, all news is dishonest.  I wonder if that theory applies to news posted in FR too?  /s

I wouldn't run too fast with this theory. I checked out the SOS web site, and it looks like the Indiana SOS web site is way behind in reporting results. Many counties have little or no results, when you look at the county-by-county tally.

Let's be careful here.

Nobody has ever considered trying to prove that voter fraud generated over 160,000 votes.

That’s how much Obama won Virginia by.

Just sent this off to RealClearPolitics -— not that I expect it to do any good, but I didn’t know where else to send it where they MIGHT actually answer.

I am curious. I am seeing information posted on official state websites that show that the vote count, now that the military, provisional, and early voting ballots that have to be hand counted in some states are being added in, the actual count is changing the state “winner”. So does the REAL winner of the state get the electoral college votes, or do we have to just accept the first projections based on exit polls and assumptions and the ACTUAL votes do not count? It seems that we are in such a hurry to call a winner that we don’t care anymore if it is true or not. What if the actual count gives McCain enough to reach 270 electoral votes -— I’m not holding my breath but what if -— would then Obama be told that the original projections were in error and be asked to formally step aside? Would we apply the law, or just say that McCain has already conceded so that actual vote count doesn’t matter anymore? Please help me out with your analysis here. Thanks!!!

That was a big issue here in Virginia as well. It could well be that Obama got 10s of thousands of students across the country to vote twice, once in their home states, and once in the college towns.

Virginia tried to stop that, but I think was not able to.

We do really need a national voter registration, as much as I hate to think of federalizing ANYTHING. We need to know that people are only voting in one place.

If people think others are cheating on the vote, everybody will start cheating. it’s easy enough to do, and eventually our elections will have no credibility at all.

While it is clear voter fraud happened, the conservatives showing up to vote would have swamped the fraud. That is at least SOME good news. Show up and the GOP wins VA, NC, IN and FL even WITH the fraud.

Hope for 2010 and 2012 if we get our stuff together.
