Nothing to see here, move along. This is commonplace. As a matter of fact, I am sure you could dig through the web archives and find the one they sent Bush.

I took that challenge. You can look for yourself, but there aren't any for either the 2000 or 2004 elections. In 2000, there was complaining about anti-Muslim bias. In 2004, there was one talking about how 93% of muzzies supported Kerry. But no congratulatory press releases for Bush.

Founded in 1994, CAIR is headquartered in Washington, D.C., and has thirty-one chapters and regional offices in the United States and Canada. CAIR was founded by Nihad Awad, Omar Ahwad, Rafiq Jaber, and other former members of the Islamic Association of Palestine (IAP). Jaber is also the current spokesman for the Bridgeview Mosque Foundation in Illinois; a mosque tied to the IAP and to the Quranic Literacy Institute named in the 2004 drive-by murder of David Boim.*
The IAP and Quranic Literacy Institute were ordered by the court to pay Boim's family $156M in restitution; money that had previously been raised in the U.S. as "charity" donations by these Islamic organizations. U.S. donations were used to finance terrorist activities, and subsequently for the results of said terrorist activities -- most interesting.
The IAP has often been referred to as the American wing of Hamas, a terrorist group that has vowed to destroy Israel. Of interest, Hamas senior leader Mahmoud al-Zahar, in a recent interview with Arab newspaper Asharq Al Awsat, said: "We do not and will not recognize a state called Israel. This land is the property of all Muslims in all parts of the world. Let Israel die!" Suffice to say, this is not an organization that has any desire or any plans for peace.
CAIR currently has enough political and "PC" (political-correctness) clout to cow the U.S. political and business establishment...

Judicial Watch’s Corruption Chronicles blog has a look at Minnesota’s new Democrat Congressman, former Nation of Islam spokesperson Keith Ellison.

The first Muslim elected to the United States Congress is a Democrat from Minneapolis with ties to an Islamic group that supports terrorism and a radical cult whose leader says God will destroy the entire white race and establish a paradise nation ruled by blacks.

Minnesota’s new Representative in the House, Keith Ellison, was endorsed and partly financed by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a massive U.S.-based organization that avidly defends Osama bin Laden and other militant Islamic terrorists and considers U.S. action against terrorists anti-Islamic. In fact, the group demanded the removal of a Los Angeles billboard describing bin Laden as “the sworn enemy” because it was “offensive to Muslims.” Ellison, who converted to Islam as a 19-year-old college student, also has strong ties to the Nation of Islam, the black cult led by renowned anti-Christian and anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan. The group’s doctrine states that black people created white people in a genetic experiment 6,000 years ago and that “Judgment Day” means that the Gods will destroy the entire white race (devils) and establish a paradise nation ruled forever by blacks.

As if this weren’t enough to question the choice of Minnesota voters, as a state legislator Ellison supported and defended a convicted cop-killer and leader of a violent gang. Ellison used thug-like language to attack law enforcement officials as racists saying “we don’t get no justice, you don’t get no peace.” Ellison also supports and demands freedom for another convicted cop-killer named Assata Shakur, who lives in Cuba and remains on the FBI’s most wanted list.
