With the election at hand, I thought that a few historical quotes might be inspirational as we gird our lions and prepare to vote.
The liberties of our country, the freedom of our civil Constitution, are worth defending at all hazards; and it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors: they purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood, and transmitted them to us with care and diligence. It will bring an everlasting mark of infamy on the present generation, enlightened as it is, if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or to be cheated out of them by the artifices of false and designing men. -- Samuel Adams (1722-1803)
You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We will preserve for our children (America), the last best hope of man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness. If we fail, at least let our children and our childrens children say of us we justified our brief moment here. We did all that could be done. -- Ronald Reagan (1911-2004)
I venture to suggest that patriotism is not a short and frenzied outburst of emotion but the tranquil and steady dedication of a lifetime.Adali Stevenson (1900-1965)
Sure I wave the American flag. Do you know a better flag to wave? Sure I love my country with all her faults. Im not ashamed of that, never have been, never will be.John Wayne (1907-1979)

Give ‘em hell Mac/Sarah. I was a Fla. voter in 2000, and a PA one this yr. Already did my part-I’m in the Phila. suburbs, so unfortunately it’s only one vote to a customer.
I think we should probably leave the lions alone.
