Many Obama supporters are mindlessly supporting him, with no real reason, this means it is VERY easy to get them to switch over.

I don't know what mindless Obamabots you've converted lately, but I'll betcha they weren't the sort of hard-core, militant, leftist, Obamunists that most of us are running into.

You can forget even having a civil conversation with these people, much less converting them "easily". You're lucky if you don't wind up fighting for your very life with some of these brownshirts.

Just heard again on TV that Hussein is ahead 14 pts here in Iowa.

If that Muzzie-loving Marxist wins this election, we can't let up in exposing this creep for what he is.

Let the people continue to find out just who it is that they elected. Let the lawsuits continue. Drive down this arrogant _______'s favorable ratings to zero. This ain't over--not by a long shot.

A lot of people are allowing the MSM to work them up into a negativistic lather.

What the early numbers are showing, to the extent that we can accurately extrapolate from these numbers, is that GOP turnout will be historic this election.

Obama has scared the daylights out of the base and scared voters go to the polls.

My prediction:

McCain-Palin: 51% popular vote, 300+EVs
.

Cheers.

I live in the same county as Ames, and the county is actually split evenly. Ames is pretty pro D, as are most university towns, but the outlying areas are heavy R. Actually the county is about 40 D, 30R 30I. The county did go for Kerry, but since ISU is an ag school, it is not wacky, like Johnson County, Iowa, where the U of I is.

I think the problem for Iowa as a whole is being naive. The economy is actually pretty decent here. And people just don't understand the world that Obama comes from, and how screwed up it is. It's all unicorns and rainbows-and many don't have the life experience outside Iowa to understand what "community organizer" is all about.

My expectation is that we’re actually going to know pretty early on Tuesday evening who the next president will be. Pennsylvania is on EST, so its outcome should be known by 9 or 10 pm, I’m thinking. If McCain wins PA, then it is to me an obvious sign that he is winning the whole thing. If not, the race isn’t lost without it (Dubya never won PA), but it means I’ll be up a while later.

I think Penn is going to be very, very close, maybe a percentage point or less. It might not be called till way late in the night.

Same thing in North Jersey, which one would expect to be infested with Obama paraphernalia -- very few lawn signs. I also don't see very many car bumper stickers while I'm driving to/from work.

To be completely fair, I haven't seen many McCain/Palin signs, either (although I've seen more than I expected). I think that, this election, many voters (on both sides) are ashamed to admit which candidate they're voting for.

I can’t believe things have changed as much as everyone say they have.

I didn't think they had either in 2006, but they did. We underestimated how pissed people were at Bush, driven in large part by media hatred and fanning the flames the 'Rats started. With this meltdown of equities on Wall Street and the devastation of retirement accounts, people are still pissed. And, illogically, they blame Bush and will take it out on candidates of his party. I don't understand it, but it seems to be what the sheeple do when they're pissed, throw out someone they think they don't like in favor of someone who is much worse.

That they're getting a socialist who will only tax them more and confiscate IRAs and the like doesn't seem to matter. Sheeple are stupid.

Sadly I went to the comments section on that Time article. Is there anyone to the right of center even reading that mag? It’s not pretty. They are extremely overconfident, though, and I guess that is how we want them.

I just sent a....friendlygram to my bud, Senator Casey, asking him for his reaction to the promise by his Man, Barack Obama, to bankrupt the coal industry. Though our families have been friendly for decades, I DOUBT I’ll get a reply.

Yes, every PA and VA and OH voter needs to go back to his / her precinct in the last 30 mins of voting and just sit or stand there and watch. Some say that dirty poll workers can gather up a ton of cards, use the names of people who didn’t vote, and mark them all for their candidate. I don’t know if this kind of trick works for computerized voting, but it can’t be done if people are watching.

I agree with you: all day long we will likely hear “exit polls” about a slaughter in PA and VA in order to depress GOP voting. Similar to 2004 when Kerry’s landslide was all the news was talking about all day long, until the real counts began getting released.

Democrats pleading for the polls to stay open late will vote every single voter that didn't show up to vote, legal or not. Now, when those votes get counted yes, a certain proportion are thrown out as invalid...but the point is that thousands of invalid ballots get through.

I made two people who never vote go and early vote (I should say I talked them into it...). I’m taking another who never votes to the polls with me Tuesday. If everyone can get one, two, three or more to the polls that usually don’t go, it could be a big surprise for Obama Tuesday night! I’ll also be working at my local Republican campaign office Tuesday, driving people to the polls. We need an all out effort on the ground to counteract the vote fraud!

I wish you were right, RG. Sadly, here in Bixby Knolls the Obama signs and No on 8 signs far outnumber the few McCains. Every house around us has an Obama sign.

Thanks for the info.

I’m what my family calls “black irish” (black hair, green eyes). They never stressed the English/Irish/German (Darling/Huntsinger) background, but the we’ve-been-here-since-before-the Revolution Americanhood.

That’s the way I raised my children, we don’t have any hyphens in our citizenships, call me Mick if you wish!
