A Very Scary Thought For Halloween.
I Made This Up.

What would happen if on the 5th of Nov it was obvious that McCain had won the election by a fairly wide margin and Obama refused to concede? I am not sure but I am very afraid that in the current racial and political climate things could get out of hand very quickly and, potentially, very explosively.
TOPICS: Your Opinion/Questions
KEYWORDS: activism; concession; judicial; non
What would happen? There are plenty of liberally activist judges and jurists out there who, I believe, would be more than happy to start The War Between The States all over again. And sit in their ivory towers and offer learned commentary on the fray, that they themselves started. And the msm types? They would do what they always do, BLOVIATE, and make matters even worse with their mindless chatter about how McCain/Palin caused this whole mess because they actually tried to win. And Did. Who would have Jurisdiction in a situation like this?

A scary thought? I was thinking this fantasy was more a very stupid thought for Halloween.

That’s the least of your worries. Worry more about if Obama wins by a wide margin and McCain does concede.

Didn’t we already do this once, like in 2000. One person won, another failed to concede. Weeks of wrangling and animositiy...been there, done that. Hope it doesn’t happen again, if it does, oh well.

No matter what.
I think the election is gonna be so close with so many voting errors and on the sly, I KNOW this election will go to the courts.

Obama will not concede on the 5th if he loses. They will count, recount, go to court to argue the counting procedures, etc. If obama wins then the hundreds of thousands of illegitimate registrations from acorn and associates will perpetuate a similar action. It probably wont be pretty.

What will happen if McCain or Obama don’t win by a significant margin? My prediction:
Obama wins by a slim margin? McCain will concede.
McCain wins by a slim margin? See you in court.
Obama’s minions aren’t the type to give up honorably. They’ll fight this every way they can and will probably riot when their great lord and master, Obama, doesn’t win. Expect recount after recount, thrown out military ballots (for minor errors), massive voting fraud, etc.

“and Obama refused to concede”
Perhaps he would call for his supporters to mount up a revolution to make him president for life, supreme messiah and savior of the world with out borders.
Democracy will be declared an outmoded concept in a age of redistrubted justice.

I would say that McCain and Palin would get on TV and claim victory. Let the cops sort the rest out. My house is armed so I’m not worried.

Marxists don’t just lose, they revolt,
Hence, revolution.
To: mapmaker77
If McCain wins, he wins. Obama doesn’t need to concede the election to be declared the loser.
There’s been enough predictions of riots and stuff anyway.

I had a professor once who explained the first day of class that he doesn’t entertain “Skylab” scenarios, defined as “what happens if Skylab crashes into my house.” As the semester progressed, he’d take certain questions, say the word “Skylab,” and move on.

We could have a replay of FL 2000, but with possible riots that are going to keep the police busy.

Valid point. A concession is of honor not legalities. Al Gore showed his honor well.

A thought just occurred to me too.
If Obama loses, he can move to Germany and run for office there. They already love and adore him over there...
Actually, Obama is the preferred candidate by the world for Presidency of the United States. Aside from the third world, I don’t think any first world nation actually wants this delinquent to be their President/Prime Minister.
