I read it that way, too, and subsequently said some rather uncouth things about what Iowans could do with their corn. I guess I’ll retract that for now.

Amazing the difference a simple hyphen can make! : D

I sit in my office in downtown Des Moines watching people stream by, heading to the 11:30 Obama rally.

Obama wouldn't be here if he didn't think it was close...

The IA numbers jibe with this post from Hillbuzz:

If you do just ONE THING today, we ask you a personal favor: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go to as many Republican blogs as you can and WARN THEM that the Obamedia will tell you all weekend that Obama is winning Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Florida, Iowa, Virginia, West Virginia, and other states we do not believe Obama will win (except for Iowa, which we still think goes to Obama, but our best sources claim McCain now leads in internals by 1 point). They are already starting to say truly crazy things like “Obama will win Louisiana and Arkansas!”, and that’s just nuts. That is your equivalent of the Obamedia swearing up and down that the Kennedys and Oprah would win Massachusetts and California for Obama. WE knew that was pure cockamamie nonsense, but Eeyores wet their pants on cue over this. So, the Obamedia’s marching orders are to freak all of you out with SHOCKING DEVELOPMENTS! in Lousiana, Arkansas, Georgia, etc. just to shake your faith and confidence.

When I heard the report this morning, “that one” was going to IL to Halloween with his kids but stopping in IA to campaign, something did strike me as odd. Something very strange is going on and I hope it’s not just last night’s Chinese food.

Iowa needs to wake up about what a socialist redistributionist would do with the death tax to prevent them from passing down a family farm to their kids. That is a much bigger deal than subsidies.

SEND SARAH!!!

I haven't gotten thru all the posts on this thread, yet, so I don't know if this has been posted.

Sarah is coming back to Iowa on Monday. To Dubuque. Dubuque is a Democrat stronghold! And it's on Iowa's eastern shore, adjacent to WI and IL. The campaign clearly senses something we are only hoping for, I think.

I see where The Zero is going to Iowa today...interesting.

He's also going to Chicago to "visit his wife and kids".

Wrong. The guy is going to Chicago to pick up more briefcases full of cash. He's hauled more money around on his campaign plane than Wells Fargo ever did. That's the untold story of this election. He'll make drop$ in Iowa and Nevada.

Forget the polls, watch the candidates. If McCain is ONLY heading to states that should be Republican, he is toast. If he is spending time in states that should be for Obama or were long ago called for Obama, then it truly means this race has turned around.

I don't know the detailed inside baseball of the dem primary/caucus there but from PUMAs it sounds as though it was ground zero.

Gonna keep praying.

I hope it does. But if it doen’t, it may be simply because cash-strapped investors are selling into the teeth of the rally — and not because they fear McCain cannot win.

If Iowa is slipping, then Wisconsin and Minn. are in play.

LOL. I had the same reaction.

Me too and was about to post a scathing sarcastic response. Always good to read carefully before you post.
