RALEIGH, N.C. – Barack Obama accused Republican rival John McCain on Wednesday of stooping to low tactics by labeling the Democrat a socialist.
"I don't know what's next," Obama, the presidential candidate, said at an outdoor rally in North Carolina. "By the end of the week, he'll be accusing me of being a secret communist because I shared my toys in kindergarten. I shared my peanut butter and jelly sandwich."
Obama turned to ridicule to rebut McCain's daily references to Obama's encounter with "Joe the Plumber." McCain has capitalized on a moment when Obama told an Ohio plumber that he wanted to "spread the wealth around" by boosting taxes on wealthier people to finance a middle class tax cut.

I’d like to see McCain and Palin counter this by pointing out Obama’s former membership in the (Marxist/socialist) Chicago New Party.
Besides the "ewwwww" factor regarding the shared sandwich, I think that Obama ought to get out more - his communist tendencies are not a secret. And it doesn't regard his sharing his toys in kindergarten either. It involves his desire to share other peoples' toys with his deadbeat constituency.
I'm sure Obama has a story to "cover" that - and Low and Behold- the MSM bought the story. If Obama was a student - and the MSM was a teacher - the teacher would believe his dog ate the homework.
If a person is with a group that commit robbery and murder, but may not have actually killed anyone themself...what are they? Are they not an accessory? Are they not equally guilty?

Grrr... Communism is not sharing YOUR sandwich with someone else, it is forcing SOMEONE ELSE to share THEIR sandwhich with another SOMEONE ELSE!
Someone on another thread pointed out that the problem doesn’t lie with Obama sharing his own toys, but rather taking the toys of others to share as he sees fit.
What Obama describes is generosity, not socialism, and he’s counting on the lion’s share of Americans not knowing the difference.
Nowhere in the article did I see him deny that he was a socialist, only that he ridicules McCain for calling him one.

This is happening at the same time that Obama is preaching that McCain is “another 4 years of Bush”. That charge has been ridiculed by McCain in the last debate (if you wanted to run against Bush, you are 4 years too late) and yet it DID NOT make headlines.
