McCain was NEVER GONE!

The polls have been faked to suppress the Republican vote.

If a “consensus” does not transform into “votes”, then its not a consensus, at least of the voters, although maybe he means a consensus of all the beautiful people in the media and liberal establishment.

The Obama camp should be sweating. This election should be a cakewalk for Obama, with the economy tanking and the electorate mad at Republican spending. Instead, it’s close.

Because so many of us fear Obama more than he fears McCain. Despite the lopsided polls, I think this will be a very close race and may be decided by tainted votes.

Exactly. Axelrod should be worried. The only two dems to win President in the last forty years were from the south and pretended to be moderates when they ran. I don't think the votes will materialize for Obama. We'll see..ONE MORE WEEK!!
Can you tell I'm anxious? ;)

Of course he fears this. he knows dmn well his internals don’t jive with anything out there — particularly on a state by state level.

The best article I’ve read on this election came from either the american thinker or American Spectator, in which they discussed the conspicuous absence of the left-wing nutjobs of the Kerry election: Moore, Soros, et al.. In short, the apparent understanding of those that cared about winning was that their far left views properly brought to light has brought down and will continue to bring down any candidate to whom they claim allegiance to, and that they had best keep their mouths shut while the Obama campaign carefuly pacages him as a centrist.

the fear now, of course, is that people will see him for what he is, that the media’s adoration will grate on people, that voters will believe the hype enough to stay home, that it is impossible to guage real voter support thanks to all the phony registrations etc. etc.....They’ve created a mess that prevents them from guaging the battlefield. And there is no way through the clouded lense of the MSM, to accruately guage where they stand.

So many of these releases by the campaigns are psychological smoke and mirrors, you never really know what their point was. Maybe he’s trying to scare their base to boost the polls. Maybe the Dems aren’t in trouble, maybe they are.

But, personally, I think the results are going to shock Obama right down to the bottom of his trendy flip-flops, and then with a mighty roar, explode in the faces of those smug media prima donnas.

You are absolutely right. I think it was on Sunday (2 days ago) that Axledork essentially said that Husseion would win in nearly EVERY battleground state.

My, what 48 hours can do to you confidence. Ya know what happened during this time?? The 2001 radio interview. I think that he realizes this interview is a silver bullit.

The whole article:

OBAMA’S STRATEGIST, ‘’I FEAR MCCAIN COMEBACK’’

(AGI) - Rome, 28 Oct - ‘’Our nightmare is that in the end the huge consensus that Obama has gained will not transform into votes’’. In an interview with DNews a few days before the US presidential elections, David Axelrod, strategist in Barack Obama’s campaign said he feared a comeback by Republican McCain. ‘ In these last few days McCain’s disadvantage will decrease. It is the nature of presidential campaigns: it always happens that in the final rush that the gap diminishes. The worst thing we could do at this point is to think we have already won. And we are not. On the contrary, we are trying to produce a massive final effort’’. Obama’s advisor explained the strategy: ‘’Naturally we will go to the States with the biggest margins of undecideds: Ohio, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Missouri.
We have to assure ourselves that all our supporters will vote.
This will be a highly competitive competition right to the end.
We need our people to go to work, to get friends and family to ensure everyone votes. We must put across the idea that the stakes are very high, that these are the absolutely decisive days’’.

The propaganda in this case is the polls that have been overweighted for Democrat voter turnout. Axelrod’s complaint seems to be that the voters may be too dumb to know Obama has it in the bag or they may be too angry and bitter to care and will vote against Obama in spite of the polls.

Another possibility that Axelrod doesn’t mention and may not even have considered is that the voters are too smart to believe the polls.

I have been thinking for about 2 weeks now that people will soon suffer from 0bama “fatigue.” This guy is on thousands of radio and tv commercials in South Fla. I think the 30 minute infomercial may backfire.

Mary Matalin described 0bama to a tee...she said he’s like the beautiful Italian opera, where you go and cry over how beautiful it is, then when you finally get home you wonder “what the heck did she just say?”

Don’t his words belie whole Messiah thing? I mean, after he has convinced his acolytes that He is the One, why should they believe He needs them to get Himself elected? What kind of Messiah needs that? Did Superman need Lois’ help? His own strategy of marketing Obama as the Second Coming may undercut his pleas for votes on election day.

What’s interesting is to contemplate what The One might say to his followers if he has to concede after the election? Will He incite them to go on a rampage like his “cousin” Raila, or find some way to let them down that He isn’t the Messiah after all? He certainly hasn’t allowed himself much of a middle ground on which to say, “Good try. Let’s move on and work towards 2012.” I expect this hasn’t really entered his fevered imagination that he might have to give such a speech.
