Cooper Arms owner Dan Cooper backs Obama. Can't post the article due to copy write infringement, But I thought you might want to know that a gun manufacturer is supporting a gun grabber. He said he was he was dazzled by Obama's speech at that year's Democratic National Convention.
Please post a link to the article.
Maybe he was promised a contract to arm the new civilian national security force bambi is proposing....in other words, the crips, bloods, and panthers.....
Super expensive, bolt-action rifles. “Please kill me last”, says Dan Cooper.
Cooper Arms: Maker of the super Soaker.
Cooper Firearms registration numbers probably go directly to the Obamabots.
You can post the URL.
If this gets out to a majority of gun owners, Cooper will be lucky to make barrels in the future.
Rats tend to complain that people who vote Republican are voting against their own economic interests. That this fellow is backing Obama is proof positive that this is a two-way street. Or maybe he is hoping for a government contract to deliver weapons to the armed forces (?). Seems kind of a faint prospect given that if anything an Obama Administration will be making large custs in defense spending and are very unlikely to show any interest in adding new weaponry or anything else (except maybe some welfare gimmicks) to the defense budget.
When someone is “dazzled” by one great speech....I always find it alarming. Quick judgement of a person....more than likely turns out that person is not who they claim to be.
Nice, an arms business with a shoot-yourself-in-the-foot business strategy.
I can see how 0bama would be good for his business, in a buy-it-while-you-still-can kind of way, but to endorse 0bama is pretty damn shortsighted (no pun intended).

We need more folks like Ronnie Barrett and Les Baer.
He is in line for a Zumbo award. My homeboy Ronnie Barrett is all McCain btw.
I don’t believe it.
It costs money/promises to get a natural opponent on board and I’m sure axelrod paid up.
Sounds like this guy got the ‘happy ear’ or ‘eargasm’ like a lot of the bots. Happens to everyone now and then and you usually can’t talk them out of what they just heard.
No relation to Col. Jeff Cooper, I hope.
Wooden barrels...maybe
I need a link, url or some valid confirmation of this before I forward it to people and post it at the two ranges I frequent.
Not a chance.
A firearms manufacturer backing an anti-gun Marxist?
How many absymally non-productive, balding, yet pony-tailed sociology professors are staunch Sarah Palin fans?
That was my point. My words did not make my point, however, so thanks!
Hopefully, he gets "burned" in the process.
I, for one, would like to see some proof.
More executives sold on Obama. It would have been nice if the original poster provided a link!
Maybe he can get the contract for Zyklon-B, too.
Note to self: Never buy a Cooper Arms product.
You know you could post a source link for this.
Without a link this is nothing more than a vanity post.
They must be positioning for supplier of the new national police force.
Odinga, er, I mean Obama wants to create a federal police force just as powerful, just as strong and just as well funded as the US Military.
Bye bye cooper firearms. I shall pass this along at the gun sites I belong to.
ping
He gave money earlier in the campaign to Obama. Wonder why he doesn't fess up and just state that he was an Obama supporter from the beginning?

From the link:
WASHINGTON Dan Cooper, a proud member of the National Rifle Association, has backed Republicans for most of his life. He’s the chief executive of Cooper Arms, a small Montana company that makes hunting rifles.
Cooper said he voted for George W. Bush in 2000, having voted in past elections for every Republican presidential nominee back to Richard Nixon. In October 1992, he presented a specially made rifle to the first President. Bush during a Billings campaign event.
This year, Cooper has given $3,300 to the campaign of Democrat Barack Obama. That’s on top of the $1,000 check he wrote to Obama’s U.S. Senate campaign in 2004, after he was dazzled by Obama’s speech at that year’s Democratic National Convention.

I would have thought Dan Cooper would have been more of a Ron Paul kinda guy.

I can’t find anything on the Internet to support your claim.
Link?
Look in your check register. :-)
j/k
Thanks for the link.
Thanks Dan! It was real nice of you to come forward and identify yourself. You have the right to vote for the candidate of your choice. However, I have the right to not buy any of your products as a result of your endorsement. I will not buy any product sold by your company, or any company you are affiliated with, for the rest of my life. I will also do all I can do to get the word out about your endorsement so that others who care about the 2nd Amendment can act accordingly.
Has anyone ever compiled a list of executives or companies who have made similar such decisions? I want to make sure I spend my money right.
This last line has me shaking my head as a small business owner. Obviously the business owners in the article never considered that they will be paying higher taxes on lower profits if BO is elected.
A national boycott of this Cooper Arms would be in order.
And George Soros survived the Holocaust by ratting out other Jews to save his hide.
Here’s the first place that I saw the news:

There’s a more direct link in the article.
Someone should send the article to GOA and the NRA. I will be putting up copies at my gun club.
Ha!!
Hi, I just read where Cooper Firearms is supporting Barak Obama for President?
Good luck with that.....
As a gun builder....I'm having real difficulty in understanding how you can be so uninformed....about Obama's record on guns, and ammo.
Do you realize what Obama thinks of the Constitution of the U.S.A?
Do you know...that Obama has actually stated...that he didn't think anyone should own guns?
I will suggest that you have no idea what you have actually done here...............
