Was the chemical put into the eggs by the chicken or by some horrid Chinese scientist? Was it on the outside of the egg or in an egg product after the egg was opened?

Use a dangerous chemical as a fertilizer, thus putting it in the feed, and then see it show up in your food... hmmm... imagine that.
I just don’t believe that the Chinese are that stupid. I think they hope to get away with it - and only act when there is a public enough issue made (like pets getting sick and dying in the US).
What is the Chinese attraction to Melamine and Lead????
