TAMARAC - Tamarac Actor Jason Alexander, the son of a Coconut Creek Democrat, came here this morning to tell a crowd of mostly elderly Democrats what they should say to persuade undecided voters to choose Barack Obama.
Alexander, better known as George Costanza from TV's Seinfeld sitcom, spoke to more than 100 residents of the Kings Point community. He said he does not like the role of celebrity spokesman, but he felt compelled to actively support Obama.
"I would kick myself if this election went the wrong way, and I didn't do everything in my power to make sure it didn't," Alexander, 59, said after his speech. "It [the race] is still too close. "I've gotten a disproportionate amount of resistance to Barack from older Democrats," he added. "It's very interesting."

"I've gotten a disproportionate amount of resistance to Barack from older Democrats" There is a reason for that. Your candidate is a jive-talking punk and they see right through him.
We older Democrats have heard it all from Carter and we all remember how that went. No need for a rerun on that, Jason!

They also seem to be a majority in the US. Religious Jews are different, so are Israeli Jews. I can’t understand, given their history, their support of the global Left - the greatest enabler of antisemitism and radical Islam.

In the last few weeks, with the David Zucker movie, I have heard a few Republicans and Conservatives in Hollywood discuss that matter you mentioned. One person said he and a like-minded person had to use code during a meeting because liberals punish those who don’t fall in line with their ideology.

The presidential campaign about nothing?
I wish. That campaign is about royally screwing this country. I have, in lighter moments, amused myself with the notion that the candidate would simply be content to be president and would stick to a Clintonian path (post '94) in which he mostly stayed in the general vicinity of the middle in order to position himself for the next presidential race. Then I realize that it took a GOP controlled Congress to force Clinton to the center and that the candidate's history is all about advancing hard left politics, no matter the venue. I guess the upside is that after a year or two of the Marxist who happens to be African-America, the country will overwhelmingly reject his party and himself. But that's enough time for permanent damage to be done. There is the possibility that he and his fellow comrades in the Congress would so damage his party's brand would be damaged for a generation.

It was better when they were not “in your face” with the Left politics, but just concentrated on giving a good performance. I’m sure there were plenty of Hollywood cranks out there in the ‘30’s and ‘40’s, but the studios managed to keep them “focused” on acting....

Im sure there were plenty of Hollywood cranks out there in the 30s and 40s, but the studios managed to keep them focused on acting....Shhh! Don't give them any ideas! The old Commies had to stay somewhat under wraps, but had far more influence on the public by seeming to be "patriotic" Americans. Kirk Douglas comes to mind.

BTW, what is it about being in showbiz that makes you 99% likely to be a lib anyway?I have a theory on this.
Hollywood types make their living creating and projecting a fantasy world where everything from what is said on screen, down to how a person in a scene is supposed open a door, is predestined and followed very closely. Their success depends on how well they follow and act out a script written by someone more interested in entertainment value than being true to life. Most actors will tell you that when filming a movie, or practicing lines, that they will work over 12 hours a day for months at a time. That's alot of time to be spending completely immersed in a world where their every word and action is dictated to them by a director following a script. The successful ones do this very well. The successful ones also, more often than not, favor politicians who are control freaks who advocate centralized control over various aspects of daily life. This is not a coincidence.
Just my theory.

With President Obama, we will have a Marxist with a veto-proof, filibuster-proof Supreme Soviet (currently known as Congress;) three Supreme Court nominees from the ultra-Left, the whole concept of checks and balances will be meaningless (unless you include the Army as a “check”). Somebody should remind these folks to remember Stalin, and that “it” CAN happen here!

You are quite right about that, so it seems. Living in Hollywood, you get to know some rwc’s in the “biz” and they do indeed, use “codes” for fear of reprisals. Heard of putting up 4 fingers to signify “F.O.R” or the “Friends of Ronnie (Reagan)” in the Hollywood industry?

Yeah, this guy is the worst. He's an egomaniac (who else writes two memoirs before age 50?) and a true believer. He also seems to have an inferiority complex owing to his race, national identity, father, etc...
In his worldview, the white folks out in the suburbs with white collar jobs are the oppressors. They are the 'greedy' ones who run this "world in need." The amusing thing is the number of such individuals who will vote for him and then get raked over the coals by his (true) tax policies.
I have nothing but contempt for marshmallow brained yuppies and various other associated members of the middle class, and upper middle class who are voting for this freak. They are so worried about image and afraid to stand up for what has allowed them and their families to prosper.
Unfortuntately, a minority seem to actually follow our politics in this country. The majority seem to think that there's no big deal, that this guy would just be liberal on social issues and that much won't change on the fiscal side.
The Marxist-multiculturalist takeover of American education is complete. Obama has successfully used his race to guilt whites into supporting him. In addition, it appears that many who have worked hard to provide for themselves are being suckered into declaring war on "the rich." Nevermind that it seems that they will likely fall in that category.
Eh, screw it. I wrote all that already, but the reality is that a majority of people in this country are f-ing stupid and deserve whatever fate a left wing dictator brings to them.

Aw, come on....anyone can do those things easy enough. Those that “make it” or even almost “make it” have most likely been willing to compromise any moral values they may have had at one time and so now must accept liberal values just in order to live with themselves everyday. You don’t really believe they’re more talented than you are, do you?

spoke to more than 100 residents BIG CROWD. BIG MAN.
Kramer was working with a bigger audience when people razzed that his audience was dead.
On the Arab-Israeli front, Alexander told the crowd rumors of Obama being a Muslim who would harm Israel were generated by illegitimate sources on the Internet. Similar sources have said the Holocaust did not happen. So if you believe one, Alexander said, you have to believe the other.
If you acknowledge that Obama said that he went to Koran class and can still recite the Islamic call to prayer in arabic and insist that he only sees Jesus as a dead historical figure, you are some antisemite who denies that Hitler killed 10 million people, 6 million of whom were Jews. Got that?
