Former Georgia Congressman, and Libertarian candidate for president, Bob Barr made a stunning prediction this week: Barack Obama will beat John McCain in the deep red state that Barr once represented.
That idea is very hard for some Republicans to take seriously. After all, George W. Bush took Georgia by a margin of 16.7% in '04. But Obama has been steadily chipping away at McCain's lead. Witness the latest trend line from Pollster:

I don’t buy it. Obama has been saying since the beginning that he would win Georgia but the polls have never even been close for the state.

The stock market sunk us. There are now projections that the Dow may find a bottom as low as 1800. Frankly, if it settles north of 7,000 I’d say we were lucky.
Today at Mass, my priest spoke about the Great Depression, and how his Dad worked in the WPA....here in Michigan, we have been in a recession/depression for years and years...it’s just more of the same.

Again, it may be because I’m in Michigan...can’t tell you how bad it is here....you CAN’T sell a home....the average price of a resold home in Detroit last month was $9,200....these are homes that sold in the 85-200k range two years ago.
Nobody in the national press is covering this....the only way to get out of this state...is to mail your keys to the bank....and LEAVE.

I have a good friend back in KS who worked as part of our local congressman’s staff. He had the opportunity for some reason to walk with Barr over several blocks in DC maybe 6 or so years ago. I remember him stating at the time in a personal conversation that Barr was a vile individual, had an extremely foul mouth that he couldn’t or wouldn’t control.

That’s what Barr is affiliated to do. Anarchists have always done their insidious part for communists. We know them by their dishonesties. Their job for communism is to remove the moral foundations (family,...) of capitalism. Yet they continue to dupe business and political leaders.
You’ll feel much more upbeat after McCain/Palin win in November (pray God), and you move south. We have family in Texas and Florida, all of whom love it there.
