Sarah Palin's visit to Salem has been moved.
The City of Salem says the response to the Republican Vice Presidential Candidate's visit has been overwhelming and the rally will be moved outdoors to Salem Stadium.

what a drag on this ticket.
but..but she’s a drag on the ticket
Moderators: Please ban all people from now until election repeating this garbage. This thing will be a fight, we need fighters not backseat drivers and pessimist. We WILL pull McCain through this and get Sarah elected!
Real Americans love Sarah Palin.
I thought she was all done...
BWAhahahahahahahahaaaaaaa
Yeah, no kidding. What a dog.
I seem to recall, most of these events have to be moved to larger areas...
Can’t seem to fathom why folks think McCain is losing....
This is in Virginia, near Roanoke. One of three events she’s doing that day. The other two are in Leesburg and Fredericksburg, both less than an hour outside of D.C.
Please indicate what state. I assume Virginia but there is a Salem in other states.
Salem, VA
Doesn't this seem to happen at every event they schedule for her? What a "drag".
The socialist rats and thier obamazombies are convinced their only going to see Sarah to check out her 150,000 dollar wardrobe.
Pretty obvious it wasn't Oregon...
Nobody’s gonna go...everybody hates Sarah Palin. didn’t you know that? Kathleen Parker says so.
I’ll be going to see her in Leesburg on Monday morning!!
I can’t wait!
To quote Yogi Berra, “It’s so crowded, nobody goes there anymore.”
Caoacity is 7,136. Probably won’t allow fans on field, as it is the site of the Alonzo Stagg Bowl (Division III championship game).
Sir can you not detect “Sarcasm” Please at least try to
Capacity, I mean, is 7,136.
This is mind-boggling. Sarah is such a turn-off to people that they have to move her rallies to a larger venue to accomodate all the people who want to see her. Imagine what it would be like if she were really popular!
(Please Lord, give me grace; help me refrain from cussing about the pinheads in the media who spout nothing but trash!)
They are all good, fine people but can anyone imagine Mitt Romney, Gov. Pawlenty or even Mike Huckabee attracting thess size crowds and enthusiasm? I guess the Washington Post reporters haven’t been going to the Palin rallies or perhaps they’re “too good” for that type of event.
I LOVE that song!!
Does anybody think that Romney et al would be generating this type of enthusiasm as a VP?? Saracuda ROX!!
Pray for W, McCuda and Our Troops
Governor Palin spoke to the crowd of approximately 5500 people for 28 minutes.
She told supporters how Joe the Plumber disrupted an Obama photo op by asking a simple question. “Joe the Plumber got our opponent to state his intentions in real language. Senator Obama said he wants to spread the wealth,” she said. “Joe Biden calls that patriotic. Joe the Plumber said it sounded to him like socialism.”
“Big government is the problem, not the solution,” she said.

I’m voting for Sarah Palin. Palin/Jindal 2012.
In L.A. (that’s LOS ANGELES, not Louisiana!), we waited an hour in the car to be able to park 20 minutes away from the overfilled stadium where they had originally expected 5K.
And people were PASSIONATE. It was a joy to see, here in Obama country.
My sister stood in a long line for some time this morning to get tickets to see Sarah in Shippensburg, PA on Tuesday afternoon, but to no avail. Tickets were snapped up in no time.
One candidate, Obama, is one of America’s enemies.
This is what Obama’s God, Allah, commands in the Koran:
Koran : 8.12 “Smite infidels on their necks and every joint and incapacitate them. Strike off their heads and cut off each of their fingers and toes.”

Does anyone have an email for this imbecile?(Kathleen Parker) She needs to be blasted. She is a complete nobody that suddenly now is some spokesperson for the right.
There is a real disconnect between reality and media fantasy, isn’t there?
They choose to turn their heads and ignore it. Doesn’t fit the agenda.
Yes there is...but I also wonder about these campaign managers that keep scheduling these events in “modest” venues (4-6,000 capacity) and then always at the last minute have to move them to olympic size stadiums because she can draw 20,000 or more!
Crazy like a fox?
Gee, I guess the American people haven’t gotten the memo sent down from Mount Olympus by the MSM that they’re supposed to be turned off by Sarah Palin’s unfavorables and her $150,000 purchases of clothes bought for her by the McCain campaign. Funny nobody mentions the millions that Obama is spending on his party of celebration on November 4. Like another blogger mentioned sure Pawlenty, Romney or Ridge would have been able to turn out 20,000 in Springfield Missouri in the middle of the day. If you believe that then you’ll also believe that Joe Biden won’t commit any more gaffes for the rest of the campaign.
Salem is close to Virginia Tech and Fredericksburg is University of Mary Washington territory. Perhaps, not all these college kids are Obama Zombies...
I really hope that both her and McCain begin to ramp up the "Joe the Plumber / Spread the Wealth" to Dems plan or confiscate your 401K and nationalize you private insurance(s). Even liberals have 401K's and insurances.
LOL!
Happy town of Salem, set on Zions hill!
Happy hearts of pilgrims, could they see it still!
He that follows Jesus, He that dares the right,
Sees the lights of Salem gleam across the night.
Happy town of Salem, with the jasper wall!
In its many mansions there is room for all.
Come to Me, says Jesus, I will give you rest,
And the town of Salem gathers all the blest.
—Louis Benson, 1899
Too many massholes in the other Salem.
Sure looks like Bambi is up in VA. (s
Or Massachusetts.
BTTT
This Salem would be in Va?
If you're going to be a FReeper, you'll have to understand sarcasm, since it dominates the discourse here.
We wait with ‘bated breath to hear what Kathleen Pucker has to say...
Think of the media and its Palin headlines. Now, would you rather have reporters writing that you're shifting to a larger venue, or you're shifting to a smaller venue? And if you don't shift, then if you start with a larger venue you run the risk of many empty seats (which will be reported).
Yeah, that’s what a volunteer at the local GOP office told me, too.
(but it’s so aggravatin’ to us folks who want to attend-and often driving a 100 miles or more to do so.)
: )

Which stadium: Salem Memorial (seats 6,300, Salem football (seats 7,157)?
