Soft-shelled "Republican" angered over McCain ad donating, working for, and voting for Obama
WTRV Indianapolis ^

Posted on 10/24/2008 5:46:55 PM PDT by Mr. Fit

INDIANAPOLIS -- Some Republicans are coming forward against a recent mailing by the state party linking Sen. Barack Obama to William Ayres.

The flier, which was distributed this week, calls Ayres -- who was a member of the leftist radical group Weather Underground in the 1970s -- a terrorist, a radical and a friend of Obama's. It also features a 2001 quote from The New York Times from Ayres saying, "I don't regret setting the bombs. I feel we didn't do enough," directly next to a picture of Obama.

I'm still cracking up at this article.

Soft-shelled crab Republicans upset over a very accurate ad.

Sad...funny but sad.

We need to tell the wimps to shove it — if they don’t like the truth then sit down, shut up and get out of the way for people who want to fight for America just like Senator McCain is asking all of us to do. Too bad the truth hurts.

Hard to believe some of these people are even Republican.

You never see this type of article referencing a Democrat who decides to vote for a Republican.

Hmm.

One of the side effects of being an embarrassed DemocRAT is that they tend to tell reporters that they are “republicans” who voted twice for Bush and that they have a “son” in Iraq. This is bovine scatology.

one man interviewed said eh was a republican but then went on a tirade against republicans and that obama would bring a change to this country

course this man looked like the typical girlie man like all Dem men

I said to my wife that if I never get interviewed I’m going to say I am a Dem and I am voting for the other side as I think the Dem party haft and that obama being a socialist is not what I want for the country

see if I get showed later on TV

This time it is racism, racism, racism — even when you say socialist it became racist which made no sense.

I live in Indianapolis where this story originated. To be honest with you, these two are either hyper-RINO’s or dems disguising themselves as RINOS. Indiana republicans are pretty conservative and adds like this don’t offend them.

Interesting, these few complaints come after two Indiana rallies for Hussein. I smell coordination here. For these two “republicans” to switch sides just over a single (and factual) flyer it just too much to believe.

McCain will win the Hoosier state by 15%

again, it’s just hilarious to see RINO’s attacking another Rino.

If a RINO can’t even support a fellow Rino in McCain, they just aren’t fit to be called a RINO! They are just leftist elitists who infiltrated the republican party to undermine it from within. A serious house cleaning is needed in the republican party.

One good thing about this election is that the GOP is going back to its roots — smaller government, less taxes, strong defense and stopping earmarks and pork. I want that veto pen in the hands of someone I can trust to use it. I don’t agree with McCain all the time but he has been out in front fighting pork for as long as I can remember.

Predict we are going to lose some of the kumbaya types and gain some of the Reagan Dems!

Is love so fragile...
and the heart so hollow
Shatter with words...
impossible to follow
You’re saying I’m fragile...I try not to be
I search only...for something I can’t see

I have my own life...and I am stronger
Than you know
But I carry this feeling
When you walked into my house
That you won’t be walking out the door
Still I carry this feeling
When you walked into my house
That you won’t be walking out the door

Lovers forever...face to face
My city or mountains
Stay with me stay
I need you to love me
I need you today
Give to me your pumas
Take from me...my rinos

even when you say socialist it became racist which made no sense.

They're counting heavily on thirty-plus years of social "conditioning" to repulse voters from anyone or anything tainted by the word. Trouble is, if everything is racist, nothing is racist. They've been overplaying the race card for years. I don't oppose Obama because he's biracial. I oppose Obama because he agrees politically with everything I oppose. He has very shady associations. His own history is very spotty, and Obama is not forthcoming about filling in the blanks. And, if all this isn't enough, he's absolutely wet behind the ears, with no leadership experience. Those who see some sort of hope in an Obama presidency have been dazzled by BS ... Barry Soetoro.

I like the way you think, and I am of the same mind. McCain has been (until the bailout) constant on opposing earmarks and pork.

Having said that, I believe that the re-vitalized ideals of a smaller and much less intrusive government that doesn’t bleed one dry for ‘social engineering’ rests squarely on the introduction of Governor Palin to the national stage.

I remain hopeful...nay, confident.

Soft headed is more like it. If they are not repelled by the idea 0bama is friends with a mad bomber then they are not really Republicans. If they are going to vote for this hard line leftist then they are not conservatives in any way or even moderate. If they are so squeamish and genteel that some hard hitting ads upset them I say we are better off without their dead weight.

Everything that has worked to get the truth out to people has been called shocking and we have been told it will anger people or work against McCain. It never seems to happen that way, but it is a great scare tactic for liberals to attempt to shut down a message they don't want the public to know.

I never cease to be amazed by all those who say they “were” a Republican or for McCain until something happened—never were anything but liberals to begin with!

Sen McCain’s pick of Sarah Palin told me all I needed to know as she has been a Governor and fought pork. Think they will make a great team. I think McCain got backed into a corner at the meeting where Bush took the side of Paulson/Obama/RATs against McCain and Boehner. He was in a no win situation. He won’t be forgetting that anytime soon and some of his comments about the growth of Government in the last 8 years is aimed right at Bush which is fine by me!

The speech he made in Durango, CO, that I watched on CSPAN talked about the veto pen and how new programs will get the veto pen. He is serious about cutting pork and going back to smaller government. The veto pen under Bush has been lost.
