INDIANAPOLIS -- Some Republicans are coming forward against a recent mailing by the state party linking Sen. Barack Obama to William Ayres.
The flier, which was distributed this week, calls Ayres -- who was a member of the leftist radical group Weather Underground in the 1970s -- a terrorist, a radical and a friend of Obama's. It also features a 2001 quote from The New York Times from Ayres saying, "I don't regret setting the bombs. I feel we didn't do enough," directly next to a picture of Obama.

Soft-shelled crab Republicans upset over a very accurate ad.
Sad...funny but sad.
Are soft shelled Republicans like soft shelled crabs? Can you steam them and eat them in a sandwich?
We need to tell the wimps to shove it — if they don’t like the truth then sit down, shut up and get out of the way for people who want to fight for America just like Senator McCain is asking all of us to do. Too bad the truth hurts.
Hard to believe some of these people are even Republican.
Hmm.
One of the side effects of being an embarrassed DemocRAT is that they tend to tell reporters that they are “republicans” who voted twice for Bush and that they have a “son” in Iraq. This is bovine scatology.
Just waiting for media attention.
Likely a bald faced lie - the “Soft-shelled crab” is likely the office janitor.
Well, if you drag through enough gutters and sewers, you could probably find a few jerks who would say almost anything.
Republicans? Maybe. But I doubt it.
The psuedorepublicans are molting right now. Or maybe they are the real republicans and we have been duped for a long time. ...I wonder??
Another “lifelong Republican” dug up by the drive-by media? LOL!
Any Republican that plans to vote for Obama, was, is, and never will be a Conservative. Good riddance! Too bad they didn’t leave twenty years ago. The party would be ever so much better if they had.
it amazes me that there is not 1 democrat voting for mccain in this election !!
The media would surely make it top news if there was right?
I’ve noticed that
one man interviewed said eh was a republican but then went on a tirade against republicans and that obama would bring a change to this country
course this man looked like the typical girlie man like all Dem men
I said to my wife that if I never get interviewed I’m going to say I am a Dem and I am voting for the other side as I think the Dem party haft and that obama being a socialist is not what I want for the country
see if I get showed later on TV
Yeah, tying a hate filled radical killer like Ayers and Dohrn to their pal Obama would sure “alienate” me.
You know what’s funny, PKM? We haven’t heard any screeching about “McCarthyism” this election cycle, not a peep that I’ve seen or heard. Odd, isn’t it? What are they waiting for? Dear Leader is being besmirched, they must arise to defend his honour.
I hope we’re taking names and payiung attention. The party is better off without these checked pants, country club, elitist snobs. No more Rockefeller Republicans!! William Weld,Christopher Buckley, Kathleen Parker, Colin Powell, and all the other weak kneed traitors can go straight to hell! The GOP is better off without them.
Anyone with any ounce of conservative blood in their body would ever vote for an anti-American communist goat like Obama. Maybe its white guilt.
“Hard to believe some of these people are even Republican.”
It’s been difficult for me to see the GOP drift from being Conservative.
Flushing out the posers.
It is odd — usually that is at the top of their mantra. Wonder what is taking them so long?
This time it is racism, racism, racism — even when you say socialist it became racist which made no sense.
I live in Indianapolis where this story originated. To be honest with you, these two are either hyper-RINO’s or dems disguising themselves as RINOS. Indiana republicans are pretty conservative and adds like this don’t offend them.
Interesting, these few complaints come after two Indiana rallies for Hussein. I smell coordination here. For these two “republicans” to switch sides just over a single (and factual) flyer it just too much to believe.
McCain will win the Hoosier state by 15%
Er, sure. This sounds like the Concern Trolls we've been spotting around FR lately.
again, it’s just hilarious to see RINO’s attacking another Rino.
If a RINO can’t even support a fellow Rino in McCain, they just aren’t fit to be called a RINO! They are just leftist elitists who infiltrated the republican party to undermine it from within. A serious house cleaning is needed in the republican party.
Sure, but they leave a bad taste in your mouth.
:-)
ha! brilliant!
One good thing about this election is that the GOP is going back to its roots — smaller government, less taxes, strong defense and stopping earmarks and pork. I want that veto pen in the hands of someone I can trust to use it. I don’t agree with McCain all the time but he has been out in front fighting pork for as long as I can remember.
Predict we are going to lose some of the kumbaya types and gain some of the Reagan Dems!
First of all, if this is the only reason they have to vote for the muslim then don’t let the door hit you in the ass.
Second, we need to take this party back and get rid of all these people who say they’re conservative. Or start a conservative party. These lilly livered wimpls just dilute the message.
Your response reminds me of the joke that two Democrats were talking to each other and one said “I’m always leave a good tip for cab drivers and say Vote Democrat.” The other guy says “I always leave a lousy tip and say Vote Republican.”
I wonder how long it will take for one to mosey on over to this thread and freak out over the article? Oh noes, the sky is falling!
Is love so fragile...
and the heart so hollow
Shatter with words...
impossible to follow
You’re saying I’m fragile...I try not to be
I search only...for something I can’t see
I have my own life...and I am stronger
Than you know
But I carry this feeling
When you walked into my house
That you won’t be walking out the door
Still I carry this feeling
When you walked into my house
That you won’t be walking out the door
Lovers forever...face to face
My city or mountains
Stay with me stay
I need you to love me
I need you today
Give to me your pumas
Take from me...my rinos
They're counting heavily on thirty-plus years of social "conditioning" to repulse voters from anyone or anything tainted by the word. Trouble is, if everything is racist, nothing is racist. They've been overplaying the race card for years. I don't oppose Obama because he's biracial. I oppose Obama because he agrees politically with everything I oppose. He has very shady associations. His own history is very spotty, and Obama is not forthcoming about filling in the blanks. And, if all this isn't enough, he's absolutely wet behind the ears, with no leadership experience. Those who see some sort of hope in an Obama presidency have been dazzled by BS ... Barry Soetoro.
Very well said and I agree 100%!
I like the way you think, and I am of the same mind. McCain has been (until the bailout) constant on opposing earmarks and pork.
Having said that, I believe that the re-vitalized ideals of a smaller and much less intrusive government that doesn’t bleed one dry for ‘social engineering’ rests squarely on the introduction of Governor Palin to the national stage.
I remain hopeful...nay, confident.
BPE
Soft headed is more like it. If they are not repelled by the idea 0bama is friends with a mad bomber then they are not really Republicans. If they are going to vote for this hard line leftist then they are not conservatives in any way or even moderate. If they are so squeamish and genteel that some hard hitting ads upset them I say we are better off without their dead weight.
I think that we are getting a very good idea who the real republicans are everyone that endorses, works for or otherwise supports the demorats needs to be thrown out of the party.
What’s wrong with speaking the truth and why do they call themselves Republicans when they are anything but.
Lol. You're right--they're probably already busy composing their Chicken Little replies. Expect an influx "frownie face" emoticons. I think I'll keep my eye on this thread. It's been a long week at work and I'm in the mood for a good zotting. Now if I can just find some popcorn...
The one guy called it ‘political porn.’
I admit it, I like this kind of porn.
Nothing like a good ol’ Friday night ZOT to get the frustrations out. LOL
Oh yeah, lots of Republican are REAAAAAAL UPSET over McCain telling the truth about Hussein.
Uh Huh.
I received my flier today and I was like, yeah, about friggin’ time! I quite liked it.
I'm waiting for the day Dems nominate a convicted child molester. Then, we'll be called out by the media for calling the guy a child molester. That just isn't nice!
this is the same story that appeared with some GWbush mailing about Kerry.
the old media always run these stories.
This is like the homosexual republican stories.
or the husband wife mixed party marriages where the husband is now voting for the democrat.
the MSM is right on schedule with the recycled stories.
Second, we need to take this party back and get rid of all these people who say theyre conservative. Or start a conservative party.
***************
The former ...
I never cease to be amazed by all those who say they “were” a Republican or for McCain until something happened—never were anything but liberals to begin with!
Sen McCain’s pick of Sarah Palin told me all I needed to know as she has been a Governor and fought pork. Think they will make a great team. I think McCain got backed into a corner at the meeting where Bush took the side of Paulson/Obama/RATs against McCain and Boehner. He was in a no win situation. He won’t be forgetting that anytime soon and some of his comments about the growth of Government in the last 8 years is aimed right at Bush which is fine by me!
The speech he made in Durango, CO, that I watched on CSPAN talked about the veto pen and how new programs will get the veto pen. He is serious about cutting pork and going back to smaller government. The veto pen under Bush has been lost.
This simply means the AD is effective. If it were not a threat no one would respond.
