Of course, but it did seem so from what I read. IIRC, there was at least one person from the Texas college republican group who was vouching for her. This really means nothing because I can "vouch" for anyone online and sound official, but it tends to lend legitimacy.

Well, if you bothered to read my post you would have understood that the primary thesis of the sentence was “the Democrats will be willing to make a campaign issue out of this”....and that they would say that Ashley Todd was a McCain staffer.

But, yes, you are right Todd was not a McCain staffer but rather a volunteer.
