That’s what I was afraid of. Wonder if this is one of obama’s community organizing tactics, so when things like this really do start happening people will be less likely to believe it. In this case the hoax of a racist pretender was exposed within a matter of hours - but in the Tawana Brawley case and the Duke lax case the rabid racists of the left wrapped up the false accusers in gaseous clouds of rhetoric and all sorts of chalatans of the left made the most of their opportunities to further perpetrate the frauds against the public.

I completely agree with you, but I don’t think we’ll get our way on this. There’s no reason for FR to join the MSM feeding frenzy surrounding this pathetic girl and her dangerous hoax in a desperate attempt to hang her around the neck of the McCain campaign. Sometimes FR has a counterproductive way of swallowing its own tail, and I suspect this will be one of those times. Unfortunately.
Today the MSM and things like the Huff'n Puff Post are carrying the story of the fake attack.
Thus, I suppose, proving the fact that dog bites man (violence by leftist wackos) is not news. Lies about such attacks (man bites dog) is news.
If Republicans were willing to make a Campaign Issue out of the original story, I am sure the Democrats will be willing be make a campaign issue out of this now that it is known that a McCain Staffer fabricated the story in order to place blame on a Black Obama supporter.

The stripper who accused of the lacrosse players has a book out, and nobody ever charged or sued her even though she damaged many lives with her vicious lies. This set a really bad example and encourages others to lie.
Once they spotted inconsistencies in her initial statement, they asked her to repeat the story/incident. Each time, unless extremely well thought out, the inconsistencies become magnified and multiply...Eventually the inconsistencies become so great, the suspect will admit their allegations were false.
Once she was told if she admitted to filing a false police report and came clean, she might receive a more lenient sentence. After being worn down, she bit.
She'll now need to go into hiding, hoping her mug will be forgotten.
I’m an Obama supporter. However, and please take this @ face value, I admire most of the comments that have been made. Not to be condescending, but I’m taken back by the evenhandedness. As corny as it sounds, maybe @ some point, “we can all get along”.
