Of COURSE we’d rather spend the money WE earned on OUR kids. Inner-city kids’ parents had the same opportunities all Americans had. It might’ve been difficult, but the opportunities were there.

Your statement is a simplistic explanation of the real issue:
Giving people money does not make them less poor.
Poor is a way of life, it’s a choice, and the result of choices. Poor people inherently spend money on things that go DOWN in value - which was what you observed.

Our taxes are already going to inner city kids, and has been for years and years, particularly in education. Charity money goes to help inner city kids, Youth for Christ makes a big difference there.

What a joke, at least for me personally. I’ve always viewed education as a crucial element of our society, and I’m grateful for the generally good education I received, partially in the public system. So, to say that ‘white people’ (what about ‘brown people’ and ‘yellow people’ btw?) resent paying taxes for any educational need is a real stretch, IMO. What _hard working taxpayers_ (my emphasis) resent is paying taxes so lazy, intoxicated, unambitious loafers (regardless of race!) can enjoy an easy life at our expense.
I hope I cleared that up.
However, I must also say that given what I’ve seen firsthand of the educational system lately, my tax monies are being wasted there at a prodigious rate as well. We’re paying an awful lot for a poor product, judging by both test scores and citizenship.

Obama knows full-well that the money NEVER goes to the kids. It ends up in his cronies’ pockets just like with him.
First, get your mind straight. It is SOCIALISM. There are two classes. Those that pay and those that receive. It is called wealth redistribution. When more than 50% are receivers, then the power of the socialists is maintained. Of course, as proven by history, this is not a stable situation but it gives great wealth and power to a few.
