Watch tonight (Thursday, October 23) at 9pm ET
Check your local listings for the channel.
Chuck Baldwin will have an opportunity to share his views in a debate scheduled for Thursday, October 23, at 9:00 PM ET in Washington DC.
Baldwin, along with other third party candidates will show voters they dont have to settle for the socialist policies of Obama or McCain. Chuck will detail his vision for a return to Constitutional government in a 90 minute forum.
This was the press release on the debate:
WASHINGTON, DC- Rep. Ron Pauls (R-TX) choice for President is among those invited to a debate for all presidential candidates on Thursday, October 23, in Washington, D.C.
Constitution Party presidential candidate Chuck Baldwin (www.baldwin08.com) will join other third party candidates at the 90-minute forum, which is being sponsored by The Free and Equal Elections Coalition ( www.freeandequal.org).
The Third Party Presidential Candidates Debate will be held at 9 p.m. (EST) at the Mayflower Hotel, 1127 Connecticut Ave., NW, in Washington, D.C.
A total of six presidential candidates who are on enough state ballots to be eligible to win the election have been invited to participate.
The recent endorsement of CP candidate Chuck Baldwin by former GOP presidential candidate Ron Paul has directed many of Pauls supporters to Baldwin. See Ron Pauls endorsement of Baldwin at www.campaignforliberty.com .
The 90-minute debate will focus on the issues that distinguish Chuck Baldwin from the major and minor party presidential candidates in the race: opposition to the so-called bail-outs, opposition to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, support for secure borders, the overturning of Roe v Wade, and a return to limited, Constitutional government.
In addition to Baldwin, the other invited candidates are Republican Party nominee John McCain, Democratic Party nominee Barack Obama, Independent Ralph Nader, the Green Partys Cynthia McKinney, and the Libertarian Partys Bob Barr.

It should be comical with McKinney involved. I’m not wasting my vote with a third party ... too much is at stake.

too much is at stakeVery true! Any third party person who doesn't vote for McCain/Palin should really think if their little protest is worth the damage that will be done to our country.

Independent Ralph Nader, the Green Party’s Cynthia McKinney, and the Libertarian Party’s Bob Barr.
Is this a debate or one of those 'Comic Relief' benefits?
It requires Biden for full hilarity.

You can place the blame squarely on those responsible for nominating McCain as the Republican candidate this election cycle.

Vote for whoever you want.
Saying there is a wasted vote would imply that the death and sacrifice of our fore fathers and veterans so we could vote for whoever we wanted was a waste.

I've never seen a better example of cutting of your nose to spite your face.

When Pedro said the debate would be on tonight, those are the only ones he said would be there.

Saying there is a wasted vote would imply that the death and sacrifice of our fore fathers and veterans so we could vote for whoever we wanted was a waste. And if Obama gets in then their sacrifice for our freedoms would have been wasted on those who live in their own fantasy world.

No, I don't like McCain and I think Obama would be worse. I vote for people I like, not against people I don't like. I vote for the person who I think will best lead this country.

I’m watching it now.
First, only Baldwin and Nader are there.
This isn’t a debate; this is just bash the Republicans/bash the Democrats.
Nader just brought up impeaching Bush and Cheney because of the so-called “high crimes and misdemeanors” and he wants Congress critters’ children to be drafted.
Baldwin basically railed against the Patriot Act and other “abuses” of the Bush administration.

So you're saying that Baldwin "feels" that the 9/11 attacks were faked by the government and that he "feels" we should cut and run because we're winning in Iraq?
One of the things that I respect most about the CP is that they hold their candidates accountable to the party platform, which is a strict adherance to the Constitution. I can't say that I agree 100% with the CP, but they align closer with my beliefs about how this country was intended to be governed by our founding fathers.
The
CP website says, regarding 9/11:
"Three thousand Americans were killed within the continental United States on 9/11 because of unsecured borders, failed immigration and customs enforcement and an administration decision to preclude the FBI and CIA from sharing intelligence information of national importance. Incredibly, nothing has changed since September 11, 2001. Despite the so-called war on terror our borders have remained unsecured and our people remain unprotected."
Regarding the war in Iraq, the CP simply wants to return to
the policies laid out by our nation's wise founders.
