Parsed EXACTLY as a Muslim would put it.

So Obama, is Jesus God or not?

“OBAMA: Right. Jesus is a historical figure for me, and he’s also a bridge between God and man, in the Christian faith, and one that I think is powerful precisely because he serves as that means of us reaching something higher. And he’s also a wonderful teacher. I think it’s important for all of us, of whatever faith, to have teachers in the flesh and also teachers in history.”

Wonder if he also ran for President once??? This is what’s known as the projection of a messianic complex, folks. And before you ask, yes I do have degrees in psychology...

Based on his answers in that interview, I would not classify Obama as a Christian.

Good Grief

What is sin?

" being out of alignment with my values"

Where is that in a Christian Bible?

“One thing we do know is that Obama is a Christian, not a Muslim.”

“We”?
Does the author have a mouse in his pocket?

IMO, no Christian could ever sanction ramming scissors into the skull of a baby who's been tortuously twisted around into a breech birth to avoid the “moral dilemma” of whether it's actually been “born” or not. If the baby is about to be born anyway, why not just pull it out and let somebody who'll love it adopt it?

Are people who were naturally breech-birthed not humans because of that “technicality”?

No real Christian can sanction *anything* homosexual, either.

If he's a “real Christian”, I'm a Zoroastrian monk.

[And just for kicks, check out the "alternatives" offered by spellcheck when it encounters "Obama"]....:))

Muslims think that Jesus is a historical figure too. The only major religion other than Christianity to ACKNOWLEDGE Him at the same time denying His divinity.

Obama: "There’s the belief, certainly in some quarters, that people haven’t embraced Jesus Christ as their personal savior that they're going to hell."

GG: You don’t believe that?

OBAMA: I find it hard to believe that my God would consign four-fifths of the world to hell. I can’t imagine that my God would allow some little Hindu kid in India who never interacts with the Christian faith to somehow burn for all eternity. That’s just not part of my religious makeup.

How about those who've heard His message and turned their back on Him or deny that He is risen and not just some dead historical figure?

Aren’t Ayers, Wright, and Farrakahn historical figures? Wait what about Buchwheat and Snoopy?

GG: What is sin?

OBAMA: Being out of alignment with my values.

"I, me, mine."

We don't get to determine what IS sinful. And we certainly don't get to redefine sin.

With my limited knowledge of theology, I would classify this as more Islamic than Christian. In the Christian faith, Jesus is not a bridge between God and man. Jesus is God incarnate as a man.

In Islam, Mohammed is not God incarnate, he is a bridge between God and man, a prophet.

One thing we do know is that Obama is a Christian, not a Muslim.

Obama might consider himself a Christian, but I don't see the fruit of that.

Obama thinks abortion is okay, but God said "thou shalt not kill".

Obama thinks you should 'spread the wealth', but God said "thou shalt not steal".

Obama thinks homosexual marriage should be legalized, but God said that same gender sex is an abomination.

I'm quite sure Obama is a religious man, but I have serious doubts that the Lord is his God.

OBAMA: Being out of alignment with my values.

I guess that is the appropriate answer for THE MESSIAH to give.

Obama believes:
  1. "Jesus is an historical figure for [him]."
  2. Personal belief in Jesus as Lord and Savior is not necessary
  3. Right standing before God is achieved by works
  4. Sin is "being out of alignment with his (Obama's) values."

Jesus claims:

  1. He is the "Alpha and Omega", the beginning and the end.
  2. Unless a man be born again that he cannot enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.
  3. He is the truth, the way and the life, and no man comes to the Father except by Him.
  4. Sin is being out of alignment with God's values (the Law).
