Barack Obama: Why I believe he should be the next President {London Mayor}
Telegraph.co.uk ^ | 10/21/08 | Boris Johnson

Posted on 10/21/2008 5:31:13 AM PDT by DogBarkTree

There are all sorts of reasons for hoping that Barack Hussein Obama will be the next president of the United States. He seems highly intelligent. He has an air of courtesy and sincerity. Unlike the current occupant of the White House, he has no difficulty in orally extemporising a series of grammatical English sentences, each containing a main verb.

Unlike his opponent, he visibly incarnates change and hope, at a time when America desperately needs both.

As Britian is overrun by its Muslim population and inroads of Islamic law, we hear this.

Such an endorsement is all the more reason to vote against Barack Hussein Obama.

Without a teleprompter Barry’s main verb is “uh uh uh..”

But maybe he’ll bore the North Koreans and Iranians into giving up their nukes so they dont have to sit down and talk to him.

Why is it so important for Americans to have an African (American?) become USA President when their population represents less than 12% of the population.

Why aren't the people of the USA judging this candidate on his tax polcies, defense policies, and experience?

Boris will find upon research that it was Democratic Party legislation that initiated sub-prime loans for the cause of affordable housing. He also will find upon research that it was Demorcrat Party opposition overthe past 10 years that caused the Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae debacle.

“surrendering to Islam” endorsement.

We’ve already got the major “Communist Dictator” endorsement,

as well as the “Radical Jihadist” endorsement,

and yesterday, to cap things off, we found out about the

“Satanist” endorsement.

If I were McCain and did get elected I’d have a list of pepople like this not to be invited to the White House for anything. Also would pull all NYT press creditials.

I have hope from faith in Christ and my family. I do not need government to give me hope. I do not need government to give me change. What I do need is for government to protect me and my family and to stop spending like drunken sailors on shore leave. I do not need the governments of foreign countries to tell me how to vote. I frankly do not care if they want us to change.

Boris Johnson is the guy who looked like a slob at the Beijing Olympics closing ceremony. Is anyone else tired of the British meddling in our politics? There are daily articles in the Telegraph and Times, which used to be good conservative-leaning newspapers, all critical of McCain and Palin and all laudatory (not a single negative one I’ve seen) about Obama and Biden. This is not 1774, we are not your colonies and you’ve come to the well here as many times as you’ll be welcome.

The UK and EU are Obama spellbound. As far as the MSM are concerned he has already won.

Having said that I don’t think many Brits (if any) who are Freepers or sympathetic lurkers on FR are anywhere near Obama supporters and are just as peed as you are with Boris and others making such crass statements.

Listen Boris, you vain and pompous ass, you may continue to help preside over the death of British culture and heritage if you like. We Americans aren't very fond of that idea. We've seen how Britain (no longer Great) has diminished and sunk into irrelevancy and we'd prefer not to follow.

You're welcome to Barack Obama...he'd make a lovely Queen.

Everything the Mayor said was completely surface and devoid of substance.

And the Mayor obviously has missed Obama away from the Teleprompter, when he has trouble putting three words together. That Obama can fake sincerity, while lying through his teeth may be good at the poker table, but while trying to expand on his policies? He's lying about them. Obama lies about himself. He covers up almost his entire career: school transcripts, medical history, dissertation, State Senate paper, Woods Foundation papers, Annenberg Challenge papers. What the heck is he hiding everywhere?

'Conservative' has quite a different meaning over there. I suppose from our viewpoint it would mean 'Aristocratic', or something like that.

Why do you spell our president’s name with a small “b” and spell the name of the man who wants to turn our country into a muslim adjunct with a capital “O”?

You also say that “(you know that bush is hated with passion in Europe). If there is ANY truth to that statement, it is only because we broke with the old days of serfdom and royal privileges when we signed the Declaration of Independence and formed a government by the people and for the people.

Furthermore, we don’t “know” that President Bush is hated in Europe, otherwise we wouldn’t have to limit the number of Europeans whom we allow to become citizens of this great, and so-far, FREE country.

first question is simple. since english is not my mother tongue it´s hard for me to write it 100% correct and i usually don´t care if i write “Bush” or “bush” for example. i think my message was clear so why pick out such little details?

you don´t think that bush is hated (by an overwhelming majority) in europe? ever watched the news when Bush visited Europe? this is a given fact. hey no one said that you have to like this fact or you have to care about it but it´s the truth. sorry and i really don´t get your statement about the “Declaration of Independence “. what to hell should this have to do with the fact that the current president Bush is not liked in europe in general?

and i wasn´t aware that your goverment limit the numbers of europeans who want to become americans. does this mean your government prefers mexican? btw. what has immigration to do with the fact that simple president Bush is not liked in europe?

Thanks to Fatboy Teddy Kennedy, our govt. now prefers third worlders to Europeans. And yes, it also prefers Mexicans. Thanks to the Libs, we’ve been infected with the same illness Europe has. We’re just not quite as far down the road yet.

person who said he was a nitwit:
Yep true. His style is to be a slightly upperclass bumbling joke. He only won because the other guy was really bad and he does good quiz show appearneces.

the whole grammtical thing is part of that schtick.

Bush - well yes in most of europe we think bush makes us less safe in the long term. - am not going to change your mind, you wont mine, its about long term tactics lets just let it lie.

Is he a conservative : yes. but the tories would quite like a BO win, given that the tory leader is young inexperienced, lightweight and formerly a drug user. So its a free dry run for the tories for jun 10. Wheras the incumbants is an old, uncharismatic difficult but effective man -sounds familiar doesnt it
They want to see how it plays out.

last thing the national security issue isnt quite as shocking for us as we have had terrorism for around 35yrs. So we got used to it, you had a big shock. How you and us react to the term national security being brought up differs a little because of this. And that most of our bombers seem to be completely useless at it.

And as the name says apologies for ricky gervais.

Your last line clarifies my feelings about the British. Spent four weeks there in 1988 in the middle of the Cotswold in Cirencester. Had a great time there and met alot of great people. When we wnet to war with Saddam in 2003 the french started to make alot of unfair cracks and many people boycotted french wines and other products.

Just think Johnson and Brown need to keep their opinions out of US politics.
