Well we may never see eye to eye on a candidate, but I will say this, you are among the most loyal people I have ever seen. If Hunter can get more pissant’s behind him he might have a shot someday.

Personally, I like and Respect hunter greatly, he is a conservative McCain to me in the respect of his and his families dedication to service to our country. I agree with him on about 9 out of 10 issues. But I can't see him getting the nomination. But you never know, Huckabee was an asterisk and then went on to a second place showing. Anything is possible.

But for me, I'm for the killa from wasila.

But Palin-Hunter does have a heck of a nice ring to it :)

I just love this woman to death. But no way she wins in 2012. If the PRO, Pelosi, Reed, Obama win this year, with all the giveaways to 50% of the country PLUS the buying off of big business with a way to shift their health care liabilities to the taxpayers, there is no way these guys lose for the next 20 years! Even to a wonderdul and great American (former definition of American) as Sarah Palin.

If Obama wins the election, it may very well be the last free election in our history. He, Congress, the courts, activists on the left, and the liberal media will all conspire to make sure that there is NEVER a shot for a Republican, much less a conservative. No, I think that real patriots will be forced to vote with bullets the next go around.

Let’s not go there! Let’s realign our party and take it back from the moderates and liberals!

Wow you joined just to say that?

Anyway, 4 years is a long time I guess we’ll see. Like Laura Ingraham said the other day, nobody else in the Republican party can fill stadiums regularly. 10’s of thousands show up at rally’s, record breaking tv ratings. They can’t all be people tuning in because they want to laugh at the moron.

She lost the LT. Governors Race in Alaska and then went on to win the Governorship.

Reagan came within a whisker of winning the GOP nomination in a hard fought and draining race. He went on to win the nomination and the presidency in 1980. And BTW, the media painted him as a loony wingnut and a dunce too.

She is tough and a fighter. In 2012 she will of had 1 and a 1/2 terms as Governor, a total of 20 years Electoral Experience as well as experience in running a business (as well as being a sports caster like a certain other Governor). She will of had more experience in public office then Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush combined. As well, she will have experience running on a national ticket and can learn from her experiences in the race. She can draw out huge crowds and rake in dough. She is the next Reagan.

I agree this is very likely.

After two years of unbridled hard left Dimo-socialism, the populace will vote in enough Republicans to turn one or both the houses of Congress back to the Republican side in 2010, then in 2012, Omama will be ridden out of town just like Carter was.

Sarah Palin has captured the country with her charm and charisma but also the minds of the country with her brains, energy and achievements. I think she’ll be a shoo-in to be the first female President in U.S. herstory. (Pun intended)

Personally, I think BertrandRussell is finished much sooner than Nov th. BTW, welcome to Free Republic.

I think if in 2012 she is at the top of the ticket it would be hard to stop her. Why? 4 years of getting up to snuff, name recognition through the roof, 4 years of people being tired and disgusted by Obama (if he wins this time). Nuff said.

Sorry, but you actually heard it here first ...

Just in Alaska visiting family well tied to the Republican Party ... the McCain team has spent the week visiting locals with an eye on Sarah Palin as a possible VP. Whether all that happens this elective year or not, Sarah Palin will be President in 2012. Hoo-haa!!

Well, talking to Mr. Hunter this weekend, I’m of the firm opinion he will be ready to serve the country again in the future. Right now he wants to get back into private life.

Palin is a bright spot, to be sure. But she needs a Hunter guiding her, not a Mccain.

Exactly. And the Governor is not at all like Quayle. She held her own against the old fogey Senator in the VP debate. Her star is as bright as it’s ever been. The campaign really screwed up in hiding her as they did early on and in how they sold her. They really should have emphasized her experience on the oil and gas commission and on negotiating that pipeline deal. But whatever, she’s rocking the campaign trail now.

All of the elite punditry is going to try to do everything they can to stop Sarah. The question is: Do WE have the heart to fight the battle to get her nominated? Or are we going to crumble again and fight over a bunch of crappy liberal candidates like we did this primary season.

I know the Romney people won't give up so easy. I also know the punditry will come at us pretty hard, so we're gonna have to have one of those patented Barack Obama Spines of Steel ™ to make it happen.

The last time we elected a jimmy carter dumbocrat was Jimmy Carter him self. And he had a 61 seat senate majority and a 292 seat majority in congress (over 2/3 majority). Though damaging, we all know the outcome in 1980, Reagan won in a landslide and retook the senate and knocked almost 50 seats out of the Democratic Majority on the House.

The Democrats are only in the position they are now because they don't like how the GOP has governed. Same thing as 1994. Remember how everyone was talking about a permanent Republican majority until a few years ago? Nothing is permanent in Politics.
