Laughed. Out. Loud.

You mad hatters have been hysterical all.

Thanks for the smiles on an otherwise Off-bama day.

Don’t you wish he’d hat up and go away someplace where the news don’t shine?

Charlie the Tuna’s ambition in life is to get chopped up, cooked, canned and eaten.

Dang. Starkist? They were my favorite, but now they’re just another one on my no-buy list.

For what it’s worth:

Your site has the following post. I am not a registered user. So for what it’s worth.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2110450/posts

The above post dated 10-20-08 is meaningless and it has the following misinformation:

Stated on the post above: “Star-Kist is the major employer in American Samoa employing 75% of the Samoan workforce.”

The facts are, we are talking about just 3,000 tuna gutters, cleaners, etc. employed by StarKist (Chick-of-theSea employs about 1,700) out of a total of about 12,000 workers on an island group with about 70,000 population. There’s a lot more than this non-issue to spend energy worrying about in today’s economy?

The above post states: “Star-Kist Tuna’s headquarters are in San Francisco, Pelosi’s home district.

Star-Kist is owned by Del Monte Foods and is a major contributor to Pelosi.”

In fact, it just so happens that StarKist is moving to Pittsburgh, PA: info is from Pittsburg Tribune-Review 10-20-08 (http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/pittsburghtrib/business/s_592115.html?source=rss&feed=7 accessed 1-25-08)

“South Korean conglomerate Dongwon Industries Co. Ltd. said today it completed a $359 million deal with Del Monte Food Co. to acquire its StarKist seafood business, with the brand’s headquarters moving back to Pittsburgh. Some 35 StarKist employees are now occupying about 18,000 square feet of space in the Del Monte building on the North Shore.”We are projecting to have 100 employees over the next two years,” said Melissa Murphy-Brown, a former Del Monte spokeswomen in Pittsburgh who is among the new StarKist personnel.”
