Military report: Terms 'jihad,' 'Islamist' needed
Washington Times ^ | 10-20-08 | Bill Gertz

U.S. military "Red Team" charged with challenging conventional thinking says that words like "jihad" and "Islamist" are needed in discussing 21st-century terrorism and that federal agencies that avoid the words soft-pedaled the link between religious extremism and violent acts.

"We must reject the notion that Islam and Arabic stand apart as bodies of knowledge that cannot be critiqued or discussed as elements of understanding our enemies in this conflict," said the internal report, a copy of which was obtained by The Washington Times.

How about at least we ALL stop using the fear laden term, "Terrorists": we should not embolden them with such a term, we should not fear them instead defeat them, and as even Neil Young sang in "Let's Roll"...

Lets roll for freedom Lets roll for love Going after satin on the wings of a dove Lets roll for justice Lets roll for truth Lets not let our children grow up fearful in their youth

How about we just call them what they are: Murderists.

Can you imagine if the PC police prevented Americans from saying “Japs” or “Nazis” during WW2?

If you can’t name your enemy, what’s the point?

The point from the enemy's position is it makes it more difficult to organize yourself to fight back.

We were set back at least 5 years in or fight against the fundamental Muslims because the Commander In Chief came out quickly with Islam is a religion of peace."

That put our military leaders in a position of not wanting to cross their boss, and to contort their response to Jihad to please our leader.

Fundmental Islam is like cancer, if you are going to treat the symptoms, and not confront the problem you are going to slowly die. - tom

Look at my sig.

Not “jihadi”... say “irhabi”.

Would you be insulted if someone called you a Crusader?
