I thought Colin Powell was Jamaican-American.
Powell endorsed Obama because he is black and for no other reason. There I said and I stand by it.
Rush has it right.
Powell was just accepting his pre-employment bonus from the Obombme administration.
Everybody wants to be apart fo a historic event.
The shame is , it will lead to an even more historic event if Obama wins,, the dissolution of the Republic and all it once stood for.

What people don’t understand is that there isn’t just a difference in the way whites and blacks look at race - there is a CHASM.
I work in a mixed workplace environment in every way, white scientists and black scientists, scientists alongside the cleaning crews, etc., and we all talk politics. The whites nearly all think that worrying about race is an artefact from the not-so-good old days. The blacks, on the other hand, are consumed with race. Concerning Cynthia McKinney’s claim that the government up and shot thousands of people in New Orleans during Ike, and buried them in mass graves, the whites think this is ludicrous nonsense, while the blacks think it is entirely plausible. The level of paranoia that runs through the black community is unbelievably high.
It doesn’t surprise me at all that Powell would endorse Obama solely for the reason that he is black. It doesn’t surprise me a bit.
Hey, I heard that the following statement was “racist” too:
No one who pays taxes now will pay less under the 0bama plan.
Ninety plus percent of black voters are voting for the black candidate.
I guess Colin Powell is no different.
I have one more reason.Maybe Powell is on the list in Obama’s cabinet? Possible.

I can remember NO ONE more clearly than Powell standing in front of the UN with his little vile of powder and surveillance photos warning of the imminent danger of Iraq. HE is the ONE who made the case about the WMD to the world; HE is the ONE who stood on his reputation to convince the world of something that was grounds for the war. And now he supports the side that called him a liar.
He is a disgrace to the military now supporting the party that has wanted to cut and run in defeat. Because of skin color or because he wants a job...what little was left of his credibility is gone.
When Berg’s citizenship case goes down and bho is proven to be not eligible for office, he(bho) will do more damage for blacks in the US then any person in history. Powell will be in the same bho toilet flush.
JMHO - that lawsuit won’t go anywhere.
Too many judges that will look at the “social outcome” of their decisions and not at the law.

My fault with General Powell goes back to Desert Storm. Dick Cheney was SoD I believe and they had opposing views then. Powell joins the GW Bush Adm. and Cheney is VP. Powell feels he was hung out to dry by the Bush adm. when no WMD were found in Iraq after Powell’s UN speech. My impression Powell got his pride and feelings hurt.

I don’t mind an African-AMERICAN for President. I at least would like him/her to be AMERICAN though. Obama is unable to convince me that he is an American in his heart and soul.
Powell will vote for him because he is black and for no other reason.

My thought is if that same community were at all interested in just a little bit of truth then their paranoia would vanish. The like their pararnoia and have no plans to release themselves from it because it serves them politically and economically.
Why can’t he support Obama? Whats the big deal? After listening to his views this morning its clear that Powell is a liberal. Obama is the liberal candidate. Why make it more then it is.
I judge this man by the content of his character, NOT the color of his skin!
Character informs decisions, both forseen and unforseen!
Barack’s character has been molded by extremists and Chicago machine politics.

That's just it - psychologically speaking, the paranoid really aren't interested in truth. They are interested in validation. This is why conspiracy theorists invent new epicycles when their conspiracies start being challenged, and why the lack of evidence for their theories itself BECOMES evidence of the conspiracy. Paranoia gives the weak something to latch onto and blame their problems on.
