I dont know if the phrase exists in the US, (if it does, apologies), but in Britain she is what is known as a “champagne socialist”. Basically products of very priviliged middle or upper class upbringings, often young, highly intelligent, impossibly naive and impressionable and idealistic.
Most of them need “reality checks” to start to grow up. Yes Tamsin, the rest of the world knows there are problems with pollution, but we also know its not the only problem.

“Is she aware that plants had to suffer and die to make that cigarette?”

The stupidity of these clowns is only surpassed by those in power that coddle them.

Isn’t incredible that these so called environmentalists who worry about breathing clean air pollute their lungs by directly sucking in cigarette smoke?

“Millionaire behind Stansted climate change protest owns shops at AIRPORTS around the world”
By ROBERT MENDICK and NIGEL ROSSER
Last updated at 10:22 AM on 12th December 2008

ARTICLE SNIPPET: “The tycoon bankrolling the anti-aviation activists who stormed Stansted owns shops in airports around the world.

Mark Constantine, the owner of Lush Cosmetics, was today accused of profiting from airline passengers while funding groups whose actions can severely disrupt their journeys.

Lush has contributed £20,000 to anti-aviation organisations including Plane Stupid, which masterminded the protest at Stansted by more than 50 activists that brought flights to a standstill for two hours on Monday, reports London’s Evening Standard.”
