Her huge, enthusiastic crowds are, hopefully, an indication of a strong pubbie turnout. If we (the grassroots) don’t repeat our 2006 stay-home performance, McCain has a real chance to pull the upset.

Another fact about this campaign that the MSM goes out of its way to conceal. While they pump Obama’s numbers up, Palins don’t get mentioned.
That video was filmed yesterday at the Richmond International Raceway Sarah Palin (McCain/Palin) Rally. At least 25,000 people showed up to see her. Earlier in the morning, 25,000 people attended a McCain/Palin rally (both in attendance) in Virginia Beach. We need to start a list of events and attendance. I would guess that she is out drawing all the others. Now if the people will ignore the negative campaigning by the Obama crew and show up to vote, we and the rest of America will be okay.
Only a damned fool would carry on like that over a candidate for political office.
I admire Gov. Palin’s politics and her devotion to her family a great deal, but the sight of people making her the center of some Beatle-esque cult of personality is nauseating. We have one personality cult on the Democrat side of the presidential race already; we don’t need one on the Republican side. Personality cults are for communists and fascists, not free men.
I understand that people are excited by the candidacy of Gov. Palin; I am as well. Nevertheless, she’s a human being, not a secular messiah. I oppose personality politics, no matter which personality they may center upon.
PS — That outfit suits her well, I must say.

My son told me that he and some of his friends(all in their early twenties) watched Palin’s speech at the republican convention and several of the girls had tears streaming down their faces at the end! They were so moved by her and excited to FINALLY have a role model they could believe in and emulate!
Have faith...lots of Rush babies are already out there taking the reins of conservatism.
Sarah Palin is a wonderful role model for them and they are excited!

It is nice to see young folks cheering and getting excited for a Republican for a change...in the 90s it was Bill Clinton, in 2000 it was Gore, in 2004 it was Howard Dean, this year it is Obama that the college crowd gets all excited for...well, I am glad that someone finds a Republican AND a Conservative get that kind of response.
Now, on a second topic, can someone explain to me how the Dummiecraps have been able to push this perception into the general public that Palin is an idiot...my Lord, every where you turn, someone is making fun of her intelligence. When did she ever do or say anything that made her sound dumb? Did I miss it? Sarah is the future of the party regardless of the outcome of this election. I too share the excitement along with those at the rallies.It has been many years since we in the conservative movement have had anything to cheer. So i say cheer on. And hopefully we will have more as a nation to cheer for in Nov? I do not want to lose this great country to Marxism.Our children and grandchildren are counting on us.

I think we need to stop worrying about our dignity and get some enthusiasm for our candidate.

I remember 1964 too. The big crowds of wildly enthusiastic conservatives were for Barry Goldwater. He got swamped that year. But it was the beginning of the Reagan Revolution, even though no one knew it at the time. While I have not given up hope we might be going through the same thing. Maybe Michael Reagan was right about seeing his dad in Sarah when she spoke at the convention. Regardless of the outcome of the election Sarah just might be the person to lead the conservative movement through the hard times to victory again!
