Barack Obama told a tax-burdened plumber over the weekend that his economic philosophy is to "spread the wealth around" -- a comment that may only draw fire from riled-up John McCain supporters who have taken to calling Obama a "socialist" at the Republican's rallies.
Obama made the remark, caught on camera, after fielding some tough questions from the plumber Sunday in Ohio, where the Democratic candidate canvassed neighborhoods and encouraged residents to vote early.
"Your new tax plan is going to tax me more, isn't it?" the plumber asked, complaining that he was being taxed "more and more for fulfilling the American dream."
"It's not that I want to punish your success. I just want to make sure that everybody who is behind you, that they've got a chance for success too," Obama responded. "My attitude is that if the economy's good for folks from the bottom up, it's gonna be good for everybody ... I think when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody."

Fox is really doing a nice job lately of reporting the Obama gaffes. Or maybe it’s because there are so many to begin with.
This plumber/Obama tape needs to immediately go into a McCain ad, and blasted all over the country via TV/YouTube, even around the “blue” states. Minds CAN be changed!

As a small business owner,this angers me to no end. So I have to put in 80 hours a week, risk my home and life savings for a chance at the “American Dream”, just so Obama can take it away and let everyone share in the fruits of my labor? I say hell no to that! I am already planning on cutting back. There is no way I am giiving in to this Socialist B.S. Heck, I might even take a vacation. Make less money, work less hours. Sounds good to me. Where’s the hand out line?

That is not a gaffe so much as it is the way Obama sees the world. That and Michelle’s talk about we just want a piece of the pie. Both see wealth as a zero sum game. The only way a poor person can get ahead is to rob from the rich.

The democrats love to tax the earners to buy votes from the deadbeats. Obama wants to carry it a step further.
Plumbers earn their wage (well, most of 'em do). I've done a little plumbing, not for a living, but because I needed things done and couldn't afford to hire somebody. They earn it. Trust me on that.
What Obambi's saying to the plumber is that his work isn't worth what he charges (his customers would beg to differ, but that's beside the point). So Obambi thinks that it's OK to steal a good portion of this plumber's wages to give to those that won't lift a finger to help theirselves, let alone anybody else.
If this idiot gets elected, I think that we'll very quickly see fewer plumbers. When there's no longer any benefit to working hard, why do it? I can sweep floors like a zombie if it'll bring the same wages as busting my backside.
A young teenage girl was about to finish her first year of college. She considered herself to be a very liberal Democrat but her father was a rather staunch Republican.
One day she was challenging her father on his beliefs and his opposition to taxes and welfare programs. He stopped her and asked her how she was doing in school.
She answered that she had a 4.0 GPA but it was really tough. She had to study all the time, never had time to go out and party. She didn't have time for a boyfriend and didn't really have many college friends because of spending all her time studying.
He asked, "How is your friend Mary." She replied that Mary was barely getting by. She had a 2.0 GPA, never studied, but was very popular on campus, went to all the parties all the time. Why she often didn't show up for classes because she was hung over.
Dad then asked his daughter why she didn't go to the Dean's office and ask why she couldn't take 1.0 off her 4.0 and give it to her friend who only had a 2.0. That way they would both have a 3.0 GPA.
The daughter angrily fired back, "That wouldn't be fair, I worked really hard for mine and Mary has done nothing".

Does anyone know if Obama has clarified his $250,000 cut-off for higher taxes. Is this gross sales or profit or income or what??? And what about his capital gains no tax on investments. What in the world does that mean? It’s all so fuzzy.... I can’t imagine any small business owner voting for this guy, seriously. I’d not vote for him based on this alone even IF I liked everything else about him—which I don’t.
