Teenager: I Registered To Vote 73 Times Ohio ACORN Lands In Hot Water
POSTED: 3:01 pm EDT October 13, 2008 UPDATED: 3:31 pm EDT October 13, 2008 A Cleveland teenager who claims he registered to vote 73 times over a five-month period has set of alarm bells among election officials in Ohio's most populous county.
The bipartisan Cuyahoga County Board of Elections in Cleveland voted unanimously Monday to ask Prosecutor Bill Mason to investigate multiple registrations by four people, including 19-year-old Freddie Johnson.
All four said they signed forms at the behest of a community organizing group, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform, known as ACORN.
Johnson said he was trying to help paid ACORN solicitors collect signed registrations. He said he has not voted, and said he filled out the cards because he was given cigarettes and about $20.
ACORN's Ohio state director, Katy Gall, said ACORN is cooperating with the investigation and would fire anyone soliciting duplicate registrations. He also pointed out that no fraud was committed because the teen had not cast a vote.
The fracas is the latest round in a battle over ACORN's impact on voter registration this year. The group says it has signed up 1.3 million poor and working-class voters in a mass registration drive in 18 states this year.
In Pennsylavania, the district attorney for the Pittsburgh area is investigating possible forgery and other irregularities on voter registration forms turned in by ACORN.

An Obama presidency will never be considered legitimate.
Remember! Your vote is precious and sacred. ROTFLMAO!!!
But how many others are there that have?.............
Sounds like a can of worms have just been opened.
Any word on those 4K same day registration/voting ballots? I think it was Brit Hume who said last week that there were 6 days before the ballots would be opened. Once opened they can not link the registration with the vote.
That was at least 4 days ago.

Well, good for you...
You can count that high ????
You get to graduate from some schools...
Saw an interview with a Clevelander and she said for every one “regular” person on the street in Cleveland, there were 15 ACORN people.
However, multiple crimes certainly were. False registration. Perjury, in some states (don't know about Ohio). Multiple counts of conspiracy.
In a reasonable legal system, and especially given the willful disdain for the law that ACORN has repeatedly shown, the sentences ought to add up to about 15 years apiece for participants in 'Project Vote'.
The act of registration was fraudulent. My God do they expect people to believe this crap??
Paging Sagan’s “billions of stars”
I’m not a lawyer, but it would seem to be fraud whether a vote was cast or not. Let’s say a person files a false insurance claim, is it only fraud if they collect on it? Isn’t the fraud in the false statement itself rather than getting the intended benefit or rsult?
Shep says its okay. They won’t vote more than once....move along.
“He also pointed out that no fraud was committed because the teen had not cast a vote. “
Interesting why he would point this out....
He himself may not cast a vote,
but someone will get out of a bus at every voting location where “he” is registered and vote for him.
Acorn responded on Fox that they only took 15 of his registrations, not 73. So it’s okay right? s/
This is the excuse that all leftists use -
“there is no evidence that anyone has actually voted fraudulently”
I’m not a lawyer either, but it would seem to me that it all depends on how the law is written. Your logic is on track, but, legally speaking, it may be comparing apples and oranges. Why is hacking into and stealing email not weighed the same as stealing mail from someone’s mailbox? Because that’s just how the law is written.
They’ll get around to investigating the fraud after the election. After all, they are Dim Rats and expect to get away with anything.
Exactly, the idea that if they did not vote, there was no crime committed is nonsensical, there are Conspiracy charges and uttering and perjury and false statements.
That meme is a lie.
I still want to know if our military votes are going to get deep-sixed again. Anyone know status?
.
Are these duplicate registrations with the same information, or are they all different, so multiple votes could occur if they aren’t challenged? If the former, the scam is on ACORN by the organizers. If the latter (as I suspect is often the case), its ballot stuffing and a really serious crime.
The MSM will say “Nothing to see here...Move along..
Don’t get in the way of the anointed one, Lord God Obama.”
I see your point. I wonder if that would vary by state or come under one federal statute? If anybody here knows more, I’d sure like to hear it.
No worries. Our Secretary of State will find a way to count them all. /s
Then why do this?:
Katy Gall, said ACORN is cooperating with the investigation and would fire anyone soliciting duplicate registrations.
I still say Bush and his AG Ashcroft should have taken care of this voter fraud in 2001.
The teenager is likely only the tip of the iceberg of voter fraud!
FYI: Prosecuter Bill Mason is a lifelong Democrat.
I hope the first issue of business McCain/Palin handles is to get rid of ACORN!!! AND expose the Dem party for what they are and what they are attempting to do to our courtry. Amazing!!!!!
My franchise is being diluted. I demand my rights under the 14 & 15th Amendments.
The Obama platform is taxation without representation.
I’m gonna call the ACLU right now.
Someone needs to rent the movie The Great McGinty. Election fraud is very American.
I like that! This is great! Those people really are as dumb as a sack full of rocks.
Submitting false information to a government agent? Na that's OK. Eeveryone else is doing it so why not me. How about if I just get me a little ole printing press and start making facsimiles of $20 Treasury notes. After all, the wouldn't be real money would they?
yes the article points out that he is “bi partisan”
Your tax dollars at work.
I hope the RNC and McCain campaign have several hundred lawyers ready to force every vote in key states be verified 100 percent.
so, anyone care to guess how many acorns will do a “perp-walk” after this election?
Fox was covering this and other voter fraud big time this morning.
Billions and billions of rats.
“there is no evidence that anyone has actually voted fraudulently
Hey yeah! That cat had a RIGHT to vote...left.
No vote was cast by him, maybe, but who knows if, say, an illegal immigrant was handed his social security numbers and voting authorization and asked to vote.
Why doesn’t this surprise me?
lol A bi-partisan individual? Guess that means he has multiple personalities?
