Our Master, we Ask for Strength for Senator McCain and Governor Palin. The Enemy, through his Minions, Seeks to Devour them, Mighty God. Please Turn Aside Every Vile and Filthy Attack from the Pit. May Sarah's Foes Fall into the Very Traps they have Prepared for her. Thank You that McCain/Palin Take Refuge in the Shadow of Your Wings. Thank You, Jesus, that You Hold them Near Your Heart. 'Great is the Lord Who Enjoys Helping His Child.' (Ps.35:27)
Our Dependable Father, we Lift to You our Brother-President, George Bush. Through All the Unfathomable, Ferocious Storms, He Holds Steadfastly to Thy Name. May Your Strength Fill him, Dear Jesus, Lord of Peace, Grace, and Life. Thank You, our Abba, that he Dwells in Your Unchangeable, Great Love.
Our Heart's Beloved, we Lift to You our Brave Troops. For these Gifts from Your Hand we can Never Thank You Enough. May Every Man be Sheltered in Your Presence and Your Peace. 'Be for me a Great Rock of Safety from my Foes.' (Ps.31:2) Thank You, Sir; they are Safe Within Your Strong Hand.

Note the glorious personality of the promise. I will, I will. The Lord
Jehovah himself interposes to deliver and redeem his people. He pledges
himself personally to rescue them. His own arm shall do it, that he may
have the glory. Here is not a word said of any effort of our own which may
be needed to assist the Lord. Neither our strength nor our weakness is
taken into the account, but the lone I, like the sun in the heavens,
shines out resplendent in all-sufficience. Why then do we calculate our
forces, and consult with flesh and blood to our grievous wounding? Jehovah
has power enough without borrowing from our puny arm. Peace, ye
unbelieving thoughts, be still, and know that the Lord reigneth. Nor is
there a hint concerning secondary means and causes. The Lord says nothing
of friends and helpers: he undertakes the work alone, and feels no need of
human arms to aid him. Vain are all our lookings around to companions and
relatives; they are broken reeds if we lean upon them-often unwilling when
able, and unable when they are willing. Since the promise comes alone from
God, it would be well to wait only upon him; and when we do so, our
expectation never fails us. Who are the wicked that we should fear them?
The Lord will utterly consume them; they are to be pitied rather than
feared. As for terrible ones, they are only terrors to those who have no
God to fly to, for when the Lord is on our side, whom shall we fear? If we
run into sin to please the wicked, we have cause to be alarmed, but if we
hold fast our integrity, the rage of tyrants shall be overruled for our
good.
When the fish swallowed Jonah, he found him a morsel which he could not
digest; and when the world devours the church, it is glad to be rid of it
again.
In all times of fiery trial, in patience let us possess our souls.

God bless our leaders, our military, and our country. God bless all who pray with us. God bless us all.
O God, we acknowledge You today as Lord, not only of individuals, but of nations and governments.
We thank You for the privilege Of being able to organize ourselves politically And of knowing that political loyalty does not have to mean disloyalty to You.
We thank You for Your law, which our Founding Fathers acknowledged And recognized as higher than any human law.
We thank You for the opportunity that this election year puts before us, to exercise our solemn duty not only to vote, but to influence countless others to vote, and to vote correctly.
Lord, we pray that Your people may be awakened. Let them realize that while politics is not their salvation, their response to You requires that they be politically active.
Awaken Your people to know that they are not called to be a sect fleeing the world but rather a community of faith renewing the world.
Awaken them that the same hands lifted up to You in prayer are the hands that pull the lever in the voting booth; that the same eyes that read Your Word are the eyes that read the names on the ballot, and that they do not cease to be Christians when they enter the voting booth.
Awaken Your people to a commitment to justice, to the sanctity of marriage and the family, to the dignity of each individual human life, and to the truth that human rights begin when human lives begin, and not one moment later.
Lord, we rejoice today that we are citizens of Your kingdom.
May that make us all the more committed to being faithful citizens on earth.
We ask this through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Father, as a nation we ask You to forgive us for losing sight of Your command to raise our children in the nurture and admonition of You. Forgive us for not protecting our daughters, demeaning our fathers and not teaching our sons to respect and honor women. Forgive us for instituting rules that make our Government a replacement for You and for our families. Help us, Father, to make things right. With You all things are possible. We are gathered in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Father we pray for President Bush tonight that You might be with him to give him the wisdom and understanding to lead the country and especially with the financial problems. Give him people around him that have great integrity and insight I pray.
Father, I pray for John McCain and Sarah Palin tonight also, that Your wisdom and understanding of the needs of the people would be understood by them and the answers for these needs would be communicated clearly and decisively.
