Senator Barack Obama, at a recent campaign stop, had this exchange with a plumber, regarding taxes.
It speaks for itself.
Plumber: Your new tax plan is going to tax me more, isn’t it?
Obama: It’s not that I want to punish your success, I just want to make sure that everybody who is behind you, that they’ve got the chance at success too … I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.
Now, this short little clip, which was part of longer segment from the Fox News Channel, was edited down for time constraints, removing dead air and such, but it is not – in any, way, shape or form - taken out of context.
I’m sorry Senator Obama, everyone in this country does have a chance at success. That is what the United States of America is all about – the freedom, the chance and the opportunity for success. What exactly is the incentive to achieve success if, once you get there, you are punished for it?
